Exciting Werner message sent, Ziyech claim made, is Havertz ready?, duo backed for Prem move in icchelseanews roundup…

Former Arsenal and Germany striker Lukas Podolski has had his say on new Chelsea signing Timo Werner

Timo Werner has been the subject of intense speculation for some time now and it even looked like Liverpool could be the club that ultimately sign him up and take him to the premier League this summer.

However, we agreed a deal to sign the Germany striker last month, with reports he has signed a five-year contract at the club that will make him one of the highest earners at Stamford Bridge.

And after netting 28-goals in the Bundesliga and 34 in all competitions for RB Leipzig, there are many out there that firmly believe that he will immediately be the clubs number one striker next season.

And Podolski has told fans that Werner will fit into this Chelsea team, Podolski was quoted on the SUN.: “If you score 28 goals in the Bundesliga, you are a good player.

“He’s quick, has a good shot, runs a lot and will fit in with this Chelsea team with its young players and coach, if they can accommodate him.”

Chelsea fans have flooded social media with pleas for the club to sign Sevilla loanee Sergio Reguilon.

It is no secret that Frank Lampard is keen to splash the cash a little more to improve key areas of the pitch and adding a new left-back to the side is high up on his list of things to do this summer.

We have been linked with a move for Ben Chilwell, but with Leicester keen to keep hold of the Englishman and sticking a massive £80 million asking price on his head, we are looking at cheaper alternatives to the Englishman.

And earlier reports have claimed that we have held advanced talks with Real Madrid for the services of Reguilon, who has been impressing in La Liga with Spanish giants Sevilla over the past 12 months.

And after seeking the Spaniard help Sevilla Knock out Manchester United in the Europa League semi-finals, some Blues supporters have shared posts on social media begging the club to sign the 23-year-old.

One fan Tweeted: ‘I might be getting greedy but i want Chilwell and Reguilon signed’

Another added: I hope we can complete Rrguilon signing after this performances.

Another Tweeted: ‘#ReadyforChelsea

Another got involved and said: ‘Reguilon to Chelsea’

Sevilla defenders Diego Carlos and Jules Kounde have been backed for a big move to the Premier League, with Chelsea named, by Owen Hargreaves.

Carlos, 27, only joined Sevilla from Nantes in 2019 but his performances over the past 12 months has led to alot of speculation in the media that we could make a potential move, as they seek to improve that dodgy back-line.

Meanwhile, Kounde, 21, came through the ranks at Bordeaux before also moving to the Spanish club last year, and he has been attracting interest from the Premier League, and Hargreaves believes there will be plenty of interest in the pair following the United clash and reckons the we could be  in for them.

Hargreaves said on BT Sport: “Well I think if you look at all the games, you look at what happened to Barcelona, you look at what happened to City, everyone needs a centre-back and I think Sevilla have the best centre-back, the most underrated centre-back, in European football in Diego Carlos.

“I think he is a fabulous player, Brazilian, 27, is rugged, can compete, really good player.

“They’ve got a young Frenchman, Kounde, who plays right next to him, only 21.

“These two guys are fabulous and I promise, I think after this game everyone’s going to: ‘How come Chelsea or Arsenal don’t sign these players?’, everyone. These guys can play.

“I think everybody’s going to be looking at these players.

“Monchi signs players that other teams don’t sign and then in the end they sell them to bigger teams.

“These guys after this game, against the brilliant front three of United, if they play as well as they normally do, I think everybody’s going to be looking at them for a big move, they’re that good.”

Former Chelsea star Mario Melchiot has opened up and admitted that Hakim Ziyech w’ill do very well’ at Chelsea.

Ziyech is easily regarded as one of the finest wingers in the game and has made a real name for himself with Ajax over the past few seasons, but he has decided that a move to the Premier League will help take his game to that next level.

He is expected to come into this side and make the club more attacking, add a few more goals and assists to a side that is looking to get back into the habit of winning the Premier League title and competing for that Champions League crown.

And this is what former star Melchiot had to say on Ziyech at Chelsea, Melchiot was quoted on the official website: ‘He must have looked at the club and saw the same as I saw – it is a beautiful team in London. They have great love and passion for you even after you play there. It is exceptional. I hope he does well as he is very polite, very nice and very confident.

‘He always wants to show his ability on the ball because he is very technically gifted and also sees things a lot of players won’t see. I like him a lot and I think he will do very well at Chelsea.’

Ziyech has proven himself at the very highest level of the game, so if he is able to handle the move to England, the media, the pressure that is now on, he will be a massive star here.
