Lampard told 28-goal hitman ready for move, Chelsea sent exciting Ziyech message, Jimenez responds to Chelsea rumours
Chelsea fc sent exciting Ziyech message, Jimenez opens up, Lampard told 28-goal Edouard ready for move in our roundup…
Chelsea have been told the strikers should gel with with incoming signing Hakim Ziyech next season.
Hakim Ziyech has been in the headlines for all the right reasons over the past few weeks after he shocked many by agreeing a summer move to the Bridge, with reports revealing that the Blues and Ajax had agreed a £36 million fee to complete this summer transaction.
But the hierarchy and Ziyech had yet to finalise personal terms ahead of his summer arrival, but that has now been wrapped up as we announced the deal early in February on their official website, and the move got many fans excited for whom else will be arriving in the summer.
And with the Dutch season now over, he can focus on making that move next season to link up with his new team-mates at Stamford Bridge, and Alfred Finnbogason, who played with Hakim Ziyech for two years when the pair were at Heerenveen, has insisted any striker would could not ‘click’ with the new Blue wasn’t any good.
‘Oh my god,’ Finnbogason told De Telegraaf, when asked about Ziyech.
‘And I already knew he was good, didn’t I. But what he has shown in recent years is not normal. If you don’t click with Ziyech, you are not a good striker.
‘All you have to do is move. He gives the balls exactly the way you want them to be.
‘Without a doubt, the Premier League will be a big test for him.
‘Players are better and more aggressive, but see what he has already shown at Ajax with his qualities in the Champions League.
‘He is something special and will be a big signing for Chelsea.
‘The pressure will be great, but he can deliver,’ he dded. ‘He is no longer a young boy either, knows how it works.’
Charlie Nicolas has opened up and told Chelsea that Odsonne Edouard has what it takes to play in the Premier League
Tammy Abraham has been brilliant for us but with Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi seemingly on their way out, talk has speculation that odsonne Edouard is on the shopping list of the boss.
He has managed an impressive 28-goals this season for Celtic, and his performances has mean that a number of teams are eyeing up a summer deal for around the £40 million mark.
Now Nicolas has opened up on the talents of Edouard and compared him to Lyon superstar Moussa Dembele, speaking on Sky Sports, Nicholas said: “Edouard is a very good technical player. There’s been comparisons with Dembele, who has now been linked with Chelsea for £40m-50m, and I look back at the balance of what Edouard has compared to Dembele.
“Dembele is a more aggressive character and is better in the air, whereas Edouard is a more laid-back individual. He’s good with both feet and he’s 6ft 1in so aerially he could be a threat. But he doesn’t really play that way.
“He will score a few headers because his physicality is good, but he’s more about link-up play, getting the ball into his feet, turning defenders. He will run in behind on the shoulder of defenders.
[the_ad id=”164”]“Of course he could make it in the Premier League, but he would need to be playing in a team structure that has a lot of the ball. At Celtic, they have it 75-80 per cent of the time. That’s why he’s become such a marketed product.
“He’s had his best goalscoring season and he’s scored quite a few in Europe so you are not just judging him on his tally in Scottish football. In the last six months, we have seen that defenders have tried to get physical by kicking him, we have seen him start to react in a good way.
“Before, he might go missing for 20 or 25 minutes, but now when that happens, he gets agitated and tries even harder. As a result, he’s become Celtic’s key player and best by a distance. He will leave Celtic.
“Some people are suggesting he’ll stay on next season as Celtic go in search of 10 titles in a row. People up north get so bogged down by it, but Edouard is now reaching a side of his career at 22 where, like Dembele, he will be looking at who are interested in signing him.”
Raul Jimenez has responded to speculation linking him with a move to the likes of Chelsea fc in the summer.
Raul Jimenez, 28, has 10 goals and six assists in the Premier League this season for Champions League hopefuls Wolves, and we believe that he could be a good buy for the club, especially after Frank Lampard failed to sign any strikers during the January transfer window.
Jimenez failed to make the grade at Atletico Madrid earlier in his career but confessed a return to Spain to play for one of Barcelona or Real Madrid remains and ambition, but for now he remains content to continue playing a key role in Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
‘I find out [about the links with other clubs] through social media,’ Jimenez said on the Metro website
‘They have already put me at Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and every day comes out a new team that want [to sign] me.
‘I have to be calm. If they are talking about me it is because I am doing things well; I would like to continue in England. I am happy, adapted and I like the idea [of staying in the Premier League].
‘If you tell me that tomorrow an offer from Real Madrid or Barcelona comes, it is obvious that you do not let such an opportunity go. But if I stay here I am fighting to qualify for the Champions League, for important things.
‘Fighting for the title still seems difficult but we are in the Europe League round-of-16. I think that I made the right decision to come here [to Wolves] and I do not regret it.
‘Leaving the doors open for anything is the most important thing. With Wolves we are fighting for the Champions League, I am happy and I am an important player for the fans and for the team. ‘I am fine, I do not close any doors, I am open to whatever comes but it does not stop me sleeping.’
