Zidane, Varane, Guimaraes deal and Kovacic all feature in Chelsea daily roundup
Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea headline you guys should check out.
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted Raphael Varane is going nowhere in the summer transfer window, amid speculation Chelsea are keen on a £100 million transfer deal.
We have been long-time linked with a move for the Frenchman, as Maurizio Sarri is desperate to improve his back-line in the summer, and were even boosted after agent Bruno Satin came out and claimed that Varane is actually considering leaving the club in search of fresh challenges after accomplishing all he could at the Bernabeu.
[the_ad id=”164″]However, now Zidane is back in charge of the club after leaving last summer, the Frenchman has admitted that he has no intention of letting his best defender leave the club at the end of the season, announcing that he cannot imagine a future without Varane in his squad.
“I cannot imagine a future without Varane and I don’t want to,” Zidane Said.
“He’s a young player, he has been here for eight years and he is doing very well. I’m not going to comment on what is being said outside.
“The important thing is what the player tells me and for now he’s at the best club in the world, he’s won a lot of things and I think he is in a good place.” (READ MORE HERE)
Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic is hoping to be handed a long-term Chelsea contract, as he does not want to make a return to the Bernabeu.
We finally managed to secure a try-before-they deal for the Croatian midfielder, who reportedly turned down a number of top clubs to test himself in the Premier League and under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri.
However, he is all set to return to Madrid at the end of the season as we are questioning whether or not to hand Kovacic a long-term deal, despite the fact that he has become a big part of Sarri’s plans.
It is believed that Madrid will be ready to give Zidane around £300 million to spend on new players and build a side that is capable of challenging Barcelona for the La Liga title, and possibly try to add another Champions League title to the cabinet.
However, the Daily Mail have claimed a permanent move is uncertain with the club facing a two-window transfer ban for breaching rules on the signing of overseas players under the age of 18. (READ MORE HERE)
Chelsea have reportedly registered their interest in Athletico Paranaense star Bruno Guimaraes.
With the season coming towards the backend of the year, it is now time for Maurizio Sarri to start eyeing up possible summer signings ahead of next season as he seeks to continue building his side and getting back towards Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool.
And we are continuing to monitor potential targets as they hold out hope that their two-window transfer ban will overturned or delayed by FIFA’s Appeal Committee on April 11, and several midfielders have been linked with a move to Stamford bridge over the last few months.
There is a lot of speculation that Sarri may lose a number of players during the summer window, as the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are eying up Eden Hazard, Willian, N’Golo Kante and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who are four of Chelsea’s biggest and most exciting players right now.
And the ESPN website has now claimed we sent a scout to watch Guimaraes in Athletico Paranaense’s 3-0 win over Boca Juniors in the Copa Libertadores on Wednesday evening. (READ MORE HERE)
