Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted Raphael Varane is going nowhere in the summer transfer window, amid speculation Chelsea are keen on a £100 million transfer deal.

However, now Zidane is back in charge of the club after leaving last summer, the Frenchman has admitted that he has no intention of letting his best defender leave the club at the end of the season, announcing that he cannot imagine a future without Varane in his squad.

“I cannot imagine a future without Varane and I don’t want to,” Zidane Said.

“He’s a young player, he has been here for eight years and he is doing very well. I’m not going to comment on what is being said outside.

Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic is hoping to be handed a long-term Chelsea contract, as he does not want to make a return to the Bernabeu.

We finally managed to secure a try-before-they deal for the Croatian midfielder, who reportedly turned down a number of top clubs to test himself in the Premier League and under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri.

However, he is all set to return to Madrid at the end of the season as we are questioning whether or not to hand Kovacic a long-term deal, despite the fact that he has become a big part of Sarri’s plans.
