Maurizio Sarri has special message for Hudson-Odoi after debut as Zidane opens up about Varane to Chelsea talk

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has insisted Raphael Varane is going nowhere in the summer transfer window, amid speculation Chelsea are keen on a £100 million transfer deal.

We have been long-time linked with a move for the Frenchman, as Maurizio Sarri is desperate to improve his back-line in the summer, and were even boosted after agent Bruno Satin came out and claimed that Varane is actually considering leaving the club in search of fresh challenges after accomplishing all he could at the Bernabeu.

However, now Zidane is back in charge of the club after leaving last summer, the Frenchman has admitted that he has no intention of letting his best defender leave the club at the end of the season, announcing that he cannot imagine a future without Varane in his squad.

“I cannot imagine a future without Varane and I don’t want to,” Zidane Said.

“He’s a young player, he has been here for eight years and he is doing very well. I’m not going to comment on what is being said outside.

“The important thing is what the player tells me and for now he’s at the best club in the world, he’s won a lot of things and I think he is in a good place.”

Meanwhile, Maurizio Sarri has once again claimed that Callum Hudson-Odoi can become one of the best players in Europe after making his full Premier league debut in the 3-0 win over Brighton on Wednesday night.

After finally giving in to fans calls for Hudson-Odoi to start, Sarri was full of praise for wingers contribution throughout the match and even tipped the 18-year-old for the very top, telling the Sky Sports website: “Callum started for the first time in the Premier League but he has played 20 matches or so for us.

“I was sure about him. He played very well, and an assist for the first goal. He defended very well, and for us this is very important. This is very helpful for us.

“He’s a good boy. Of course, now, he can risk stopping to improve because he can risk thinking that he is a player at 100 per cent, but that’s not true. It’s impossible to be at the top when you are 18.

“He needs to improve, he can improve, and I want him to improve. He can become one of the best players in Europe.

“Callum is ready to play in every match, even the most difficult matches. He improved a lot over the season. I am really happy for him. Not only in attack, but in defence. For this team, the future is could be good with Callum.”
