Frenchman Chelsea Wants Makes Statement After Transfer Decision

CHELSEA target Warren Zaire-Emery has dealt a blow to the Premier League clubs hoping to sign him by extending his contact with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029.

The 18-year-old midfielder, greatly admired by scouts of the club, is considered the future of PSG and all there has been some talk in the media that the Blues were ready to make a move at the end of the season.

Zaïre-Emery holds the record of being PSG’s youngest ever player at 16 years, 4 months and 29 days. He is also the youngest in their history to score in Ligue 1, win the title and play in the Champions League.

The French giants made securing his commitment to the club a priority with Zaïre-Emery becoming a crucial cog in Luis Enrique’s side this season. He has made 38 appearances in all competitions, nine direct goal involvements.

And after signing the new deal, he said: “I am very happy and proud to have signed my contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain until 2029,”

“It’s a huge source of pride for me to continue the journey with my boyhood club, the one I’ve always wanted to play for since I was a child. I arrived at the age of eight, and I’ve been here for 10 years now.

“I’ve always lived in Paris, my entire family is in Paris, and I feel at home at this club. I feel good here and I hope to spend my entire career here. Since I was little, with my family, my parents, I’ve always watched Paris Saint-Germain.

“It’s a club I wanted to play for when I was little, and now for the past two years… It’s a dream come true for me with my club. And I hope it continues for as long as possible because it’s truly the club I love and where I want to play for as long as I can.”
