Joachim Low claims Antonio Rudiger ‘tried everything to leave Chelsea’ before deadline day.

Rudiger may have been a big part of the squad last season, but Frank Lampard has barely used him this time around and there was big speculation in the media that he was looking for a way out of a move.

Now his International boss Lowe has opened up and revealed that Rudiger tried everything to make sure that he would leave the club on deadline day, he was quoted on the TalkSport website as saying: “I was in constant contact with Rudiger, he was keeping me in the loop.

“He had three or four options over the weekend but unfortunately nothing materialised – he can try again in the winter.

“I’ve been walking the path with him over the past few years and we’ve had a dialogue since the beginning.

“He can put in a great performance even without a few weeks of match practice.

“He has established himself as a top international player. In terms of athleticism, dynamism and tough duels, he maintains his top level for a few weeks even without match practice.

“His development over the past four or five years has been great.

“He tried everything to leave Chelsea because the European Championship is very important to him.

“I think he’ll try to leave again in the winter. He’s doing everything he can to stay in his best form”

Look, if that is the case and we now have a player in the side that doesnt want to be here, we are hoping that he does not mess up the good atmosphere in the dressing room
