Here is the latest Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys could have missed and would enjoy…

Florent Malouda has opened up and claimed that if CHELSEA signed Victor Osimhen in the January window, they would be serious challengers for that Premier League title.

We were one of the clubs that were interested, but despite all the speculation and despite all the rumours, a move to Stamford Bridge never happed and now the Napoli star is on loan at Galatasaray for the season.

But that has not stopped speculation that the club could make a move for the player in the January window and Malouda has backed the Blues to make a big move for the Nigerian star: ‘We almost signed Victor Osimhen in the summer, and he is the type of player that would add extra quality to this Chelsea team,’ Malouda told Coin Poker.

‘If there is an opportunity to bring him in in January, then I think the club has to look at it. From what I’ve read, he will cost less than the numbers that were quoted in the summer – the fee is reportedly in the region of £70m.

‘Galatasaray would hate to lose him, but he’s a Napoli player and the noises coming out of Naples recently indicate that her will be available in January.

‘Chelsea should be competing for the world’s best players. Osimhen is in that category.

‘You want to see the club add more quality to its team because that is what every ambitious club does, and his addition would bring Chelsea a step closer to the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal.

‘It seems like the player wants to come to CHELSEA . We’ll see if we can get him, but I would love the club to move for him because a lot of things can happen between now and January.

‘There could be competition to bring him in – I would love to see the club working on a deal for him. Osimhen would be a great addition to the squad.’

ISAK TOLD TO MAKE CHELSEA MOVE –

Freddie Ljungberg has encouraged Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak to join a club like CHELSEA when he makes the decision to leave the Toon in the upcoming transfer windows.

We were interested in signing another striker to provide cover and competition for Nicolas Jackson and continue to be linked with Victor Osimhen, but a deal for the Nigerian never happened during the summer window

Alexander Isak has a similar price tag of £115 million and despite the fact that Newcastle have no intention of letting their star man leave, there is still alot of speculation about where he could end up in the coming windows.

Now Ljungberg, a two-time Premier League winner, has told the big man to join one of the big club: ‘I like Isak. His top level is huge,’ the Arsenal legend told Swedish outlet Expressen.

‘He has these super top qualities that I, as a coach, might look for. I want players who have some super power, then you can put them in special situations and know that they will make a difference.

‘His top qualities are so freaking special that I think he can be even better. He could go all the way up to the absolute top because of the speed he has, the nice finishes and the understanding of the game.

‘This is the player for whom I want things to go so incredibly well. He seems so humble and down to earth, and it feels like he just wants to work hard and play football.

‘I really hope he can take the next step. Newcastle is a good club. There is nothing wrong with that.

‘But at some point I hope he goes to Arsenal, CHELSEA or Man City where he can pour in goals. That’s what I hope.’

CASEDAI TOLD TO LEAVE –

Cesare Casedai has been encouraged to leave CHELSEA in the January window after failing to establish himself in that Blues first team under Enzo Maresca this season.

The 21-year-old has played a little over ten times for the club and while he was close to departing the club in the summer, potentially on a loan deal, he ended up staying at Stamford Bridge.

He’s yet to play in the Premier League in the campaign, and despite the manager not picking him, Casadei has revealed to TuttoSport in an interview that Enzo Maresca played a key role in keeping him at the club .

He said, as relayed by Calciomercato“When I saw Maresca arrive at Stamford Bridge in the summer I was excited.

“We already knew each other because he was my coach in the first six months of last season at Leicester City.”
He was also asked about the speculation surrounding his future that lingered around in the summer.

The Italian said: “After speaking to the coach, I was 100% sure that the decision to stay would be the best. Maresca told me what he thought, I had no doubts.

“I stayed here without considering possible loans. Nor do I think so at the moment for the next winter transfer market.

“I couldn’t be prouder to play for CHELSEA. The competitive spirit was one of the reasons why I decided not to leave.”

But now Italy under-21 boss Carmine Nunziata believes a move away in the winter could benefit the youngster: “Last year Cesare had a good first part with Leicester, then he went to Chelsea and played little,” Nunziata told Rai Radio 1 Sport. “This year they [Chelsea] kept him there, I advised him to see how it goes until January, otherwise it’s right to look around for another solution.

“The important thing is that the boys play. If they find a team in Italy, even better. But the experience abroad is also formative. For example, after playing in Switzerland, I found [Mattia] Zanotti to have improved a lot and grown a lot.”
