Wirtz sent transfer move, Hazard makes Chelsea decision and Castillo delighted with transfer move in Chelsea roundup…

Bayer Leverkusen sensation Florian Wirtz has been urged to snub a potential move to sign with Chelsea

Wirtz, 18, has taken the Bundesliga by storm and it was no surprise to see the Bayer Leverkusen youngster linked with an early exit from Germany last summer.

But he rightly decided to extend his contract for two more years on top of the original 2024 contract, due to taking his father’s advice, and that meant the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool had to just keep a close eye on his development

Wirtz’s current deal with the Bundesliga club will run down in 2026, but Thon claims the Germany international could change clubs after this season, which has prompted the club to reignite their interest in the player

But Eintracht Frankfurt director Karl-Heinz Korbel has urged him to pick a move to Liverpool rather than anyone else, should he leave Leverkusen.

“A player like Wirtz needs an environment in which he feels comfortable in order to develop,” Körbel said.

“If he leaves in 2023 or 2024, he can choose the club: Barcelona, Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool. I think he would do well with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool. As the successor to Sadio Mané.”

Wirtz is making all the right noises in the game and it is very easy to see just why all the big clubs are interested in a move. It will be interesting to see just where he ends up should he leave Bayer at the end of the season

We have a habit of buying talent and not playing them while Liverpool will give him more of a chance, but like many deals, it will come down to money.

The best thing for him right now is to stay in the Bundesliga, but it is his choice and we can only speculate on where he will go.

If he develops, then we can make a move, but for now, he doesnt need to go anywhere

Juan Castillo has completed his move from Chelsea to Charlton Athletic on loan for the rest of the season and he is delighted with the deal.

The 22-year-old, who joined the club in 2016 and has previously been on loan at his former club Ajax, AZ Alkmaar and ADO Den Haag, played three Championship and two Carabao Cup games for Birmingham.

The club announced on their clubs website: ‘Dutch youth international Juan Castillo has moved on loan to Charlton Athletic, having spent the first half of the season at Birmingham City

‘He joins a Charlton side currently 15th in League One and managed by their former player Johnnie Jackson.’

Castillo’s deal at Stamford Bridge comes to an end at the end of next season, and there will be a chance to earn himself a permanent move if he can impress with the Championshsip outfit.

Castillo explained what attracted him to Charlton when he spoke to the club’s website, He said: “Once I heard that Charlton were interested, I looked at games on YouTube and the first thing that stood out was the fans and the atmosphere.

“I’m a creative player, I like to get up and down the left side and I bring energy. I hope that I can develop here and have a successful time. I can’t wait to get started and show what I can do.”

Ben Purrington is the current first choice left back or left wing back under Johnnie Jackson, but with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign, there could be a real chance for the lad to make a name for himself.

It seems that he will never get the chance to shine in that shirt so he needs to look elsewhere, and considering the Championship is one of the top Leagues in Europe, he needs to make this work.

This should e a good move for the lad.

Chelsea are reportedly “not an option” for Eden Hazard as he looks to stay at Real Madrid until the summer.

Hazard was easily regarded as one of the top five players in world football after developing into a real star at the club, performances which earned him a mega money move to sign with Real Madrid.

However, despite his excitement, despite the hype over the move and despite many people believing that he would develop into the best player in world football, Hazard has endured an injury-plagued time in Spain and has not been able to rediscover the form he showed at Stamford Bridge.

That has opened the door to a whole load of speculation about his next destination, and The Belgian winger has been linked with a return to the Premier League in the current window as his well-documented struggles at the Bernabeu continue.

Naturally, a reunion with the Blues has been touted with Newcastle also interested in the 31-year-old under the new Saudi-led ownership.

It was claimed that Roman Abramovich was the driving force behind our interest as the Russian owner was keen to reunite with the former Lille man, according to El Nacional

But Marca are reporting that Thomas Tuchel’s men are not one of the clubs who have offered Hazard an escape route as he looks set to remain with Madrid until at least the summer.

Hazard was a fantastic player for the cub during his time there and will go down as a real legend of the club, but it would have been a mistake to bring him back to the club and fans will probably be glad that he isnt moving back.

He would not be the same player he was and that would ruin his legacy at the club, but it will be interesting to see where he ends up after Madrid.
