Striker ‘will score goals’ ahead of potential move – Chelsea Board told
Darren Bent has urged CHELSEA FC to sign Callum Wilson this month, with Mauricio Pochettino eager to further bolster his squad.
The transfer window has not brought the type of business that many people had hoped for and we have struggled to make any serious offers for their top transfer targets – which has meant that they have had to change tactics.
The Magpies have already turned a loan swoop down for the 31-year-old from Atletico Madrid, while AC Milan have also shown interest this month.
But the Toon must sell before buying to remain within Financial Fair Play rules, and the centre-forward’s contract is up next summer.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa striker said: “I really like Callum Wilson. Big fan of his… Whenever he seems to play, always seems to score. I think he would fit well for both clubs (Chelsea and West Ham).
“If either side can get him, I think it works really well. I don’t know why I’m leaning more towards West Ham, maybe because of where they are… Both clubs he’s going to start.
‘If he goes to West Ham he will start. If he goes to Chelsea he will start.”

Look, Wilson is a very good Premier League striker and a man that is enjoying himself at the Toon – but he is not the man that will help the club get back into the habit of winning the Premier League title.
