End all speculation after £60 million star tells Chelsea he wants to be at the Bridge next summer

Chelsea, Willian

Willian has told the CHELSEA that he wants to stay, despite interest from Barcelona.

Look, the January transfer window has come and gone and all the speculation in the media now will be about possible arrivals in the summer transfer window, as Chelsea are already planning for possible arrivals.

But there has been speculation in the media over the past few months which have suggested that Brazilian star Willian will be leaving the club after failing to agree a big new contract with the club, with talks ongoing for months now.

His failure to sign a new deal with the club has led to speculation in the media suggesting that Barcelona are all set to come calling and offer him a big time contract to make the move to the Camp Nou.

However, the Metro website has reported that Willian is hoping to commit his future with the club and has informed Chelsea that he wants to sign a new contract before his current deal runs out in the summer.

The Brazilian maestro is one of only a handful of world class players at Chelsea and has feature in well over 300-appearances for the club, so his importance in the side is much more than just on the pitch.

Everybody knows that Chelsea have a thing about handing players big contracts once they get the wrong side of thirty, but considering this man wants to stay and Chelsea would have to spend around £60 million to land a decent replacement, he deserves a new contract.

Lampard will be looking to add to the side that he already has, which means keeping the best players at the club, and then adding to it. So if Willian is keen to stay, offer him the deal he wants and get the very best out of him that they can.

Barcelona have come calling because this man is brilliant, and Chelsea would be foolish to let him leave.
