Samba star Willian ‘he is happy’ at Chelsea as boss ‘to decide future’

Willian has admitted ‘the boss’ will decide his Chelsea future, but he has admitted he is happy at the club.

The Brazilian struggled under Antonio Conte last season and there was constant speculation that he could leave the club in the summer transfer window and make his way to Old Trafford or Barcelona, with both clubs reportedly ready to splash £60 million on nailing down his services.

However, the arrival of Maurizio Sarri changed things for Willian and in the end he decided to stay after the Italian boss convinced him that he would become a big part of the side this season, as the former Napoli coach looks to get us back into a top four spot.

Willian is under contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2020 and although his game time is not at the required standard he would like, he had admitted that his wife is the real boss and right now and she decides his future.

Willian told the BBC: “Yes, of course [it feels like home]. My family don’t want to leave. I love to live here. My family love to live in London. I love to play for Chelsea.

“Everything is amazing. I’m here already five years and I hope to stay a couple more years. Everything is perfect.”

Here is what we think.

Willian is a world beater on his day and the fact that he decided to stay put during the summer transfer window was bigger than most transfer deals that Sarri could have managed to pull off, especially as the Brazilian is one of the most technically gifted in the Premier League.

So with a little speculation that United and Barcelona are readying a move in the coming transfer windows, it is some great news that he has no desire to pack his bags and leave the club, especially as Sarri is building a side that could potentially win the Premier League and Europa league this season.

So iSarri can keep hold of Willian, Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante in the coming transfer windows but also add a few new faces, then the future for the club is looking brighter than it looked last year.
