German announces if Bundesliga star is JOINING Chelsea this summer
Florian Wirtz’s father has confirmed that the Germany international won’t be leaving Bayer Leverkusen this summer, with CHELSEA keen on a potential deal
It is no secret that the club , have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer windows over the last few seasons, and it is also no secret that Enzo Maresca wants to add a bit more quality to the side.
The 20-year-old forward is one of the rising stars of European football and reports that the club hold a ‘strong interest’ in the Germany international. It is said that Wirtz is on the club’s ‘radar’.
The Leverkusen midfielder had a stellar season in the club’s unbeaten domestic campaign, scoring 18 goals and registering 20 assists on the way to the Bundesliga and German Cup trophies.
However – Speaking to German publication Bild, Hans Wirtz has now opened up and revealed that his son will not be leaving the German giants this transfer window – he said: “Florian has a contract in Leverkusen.
“And he’s looking forward to next year at Bayer when he can play in the Champions League with Leverkusen for the first time. Those are the facts. Now the focus is on the Euros.
“After that there’s a lot to do with the club next season, so there’s no need for speculation. There’s really nothing to say beyond that.”
