Azpilicueta reacts to Werner deal, Fan excited about Havertz, Director delighted with deal, Gabriel waiting for offer in news roundup.
Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has opened up and admitted that she is excited that Timo Werner has agreed to sign with Chelsea.
We agreed a deal, but nothing had been announced and that got many fans worried that Werner could decide to pull out of a move to the club, and end up making a move to another Premier League club.
However, that is not the case and now wehave officially confirmed that the German star will be signing with the club.
We have agreed to pay €50m (£45m) to trigger the release clause of Werner, who is set to earn more than €10m (£9m) per season in England.
The 24-year-old will remain with RB Leipzig for the remainder of the Bundesliga season before joining up with his new team-mates next month.
But the Germans have said their goodbyes….

Ddirector Marina Granovskaia, speaking to the Chelsea website, added: “We are very excited that Timo Werner has chosen to join Chelsea.
“He is a player who was coveted all over Europe and it is no surprise, he has that rare mix of being young and exciting and yet established and proven.
“We can’t wait to have Timo on board, but until then we wish him and RB Leipzig all the best for the rest of this season.”
Chelsea fans believed that Kai Havertz will choose them over a summer move to Manchester United.
There has been some big reports in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested that we are closing in on a deal for Havertz, with reports even suggesting that talks have been opened with the German side about a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
However, Manchester United are also very keen to sign up the German and are reportedly keeping a close eye, with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly ready to meet his massive asking price too.
In the video below, Keith Andrews and Don Goodman discuss Kai Havertz potential move to the Premier League, which club would suit the German more?
But fans believe that it will be Stamford Bridge that he makes a move too in the summer.
One fans said: Brilliant signing for Chelsea
[the_ad id=”164″]Another added: He’s 100% more likely to go Chelsea
Another jumped in with: As a Chelsea fan, I think having Havertz would clutter the attack. We have Pulicic, Abraham, Mount, Werner, Zyiech, Hudson-Odoi and RLC. Would be a great signing but we may have to bench some proper talent
Another added: Agent RUDIGER and WERNER!;)
Another fans added: He would be a perfect fit for Chelsea he would suit Frank Lampard style soo much
Another said: He ain’t going United u mad 😂😂
Another added: Obviously Chelsea. United need a right winger so I think they’re going all out for Sancho. Getting Sancho and Havertz is just too much and united already have Bruno and Pogba which won’t work with Havertz as well.
And another: Welcome home 🏠 stamforbrige’
Gabriel is keen to play in the Premier League for Chelsea next season despite Napoli opening transfer talks with his current club Lille.
We may have not done the transfer business that many fans would have liked to see during the January window as Frank Lampard was not given the funds to bring in some top-class players that would improve the side help get the Spaniards side back inside the Champions League next season.
However, there is some speculation in the media that Lampard will be handed the kind of funds he needs to improve the side in the summer, and will look to bring in another defender after the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
Lille are fending off interest in their Brazilian centre-half Gabriel, but While reports have claimed Napoli have made contact with the French club for the former Brazil Under-20 international, the report suggests he is keener on a move to England.
[the_ad id=”164″]France Football writes that Lille have already opened talks with Napoli, but that still doesn’t mean he’s on his way to Italy,’ states the report, as The player is said to be waiting for offers from the Premier League side.
The outlet claims that Lille should make about €25m with his sale this summer, and that would be important income for the club,
