Arsenal are unlikely to let Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave the club for Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window, claims ESPN pundit Ian Darke
Aubameyang has been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks with reports suggesting that he is leaving, that he is not leaving, that he will sign a contract, that he will not sign a contract, which has frustrated Arsenal fans
It is believed that Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona lead the chase fr his signature in the summer, but there has also been some claims in the media which have suggested that wemay look to try and swoop in and land him for around the £20 million mark.
It was no secret that Frank lampard was keen to add another striker or two to the attack in the summer window, and a move for Auba had been seen as a real bargain, that was before we agreed a deal for Werner.
However, despite all the Premier League interest fromusESPN pundit Ian Darke believes Arsenal would avoid letting Aubameyang join a Premier League rival even if Frank Lampard’s side meet Arsenal’s reported £20million valuation.
“Chelsea could afford him, but would Arsenal let him go to a direct London rival like Chelsea? Probably not,” Darke told ESPN
“Chelsea certainly mean business, they’ve got Tammy Abraham up front an England international, but Aubameyang could play on the left, too. You can’t rule anything out in football, I’d be a bit surprised if it was to Chelsea, though.”
Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick has made the classy move of congratulating Chelsea for winning the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
Werner has been one of the most talked about players of the past few weeks, as all the major clubs are reportedly interested in trying to secure a transfer deal for the pacy little German star.
He has scored 75 goals in 122 matches since making his RB Leipzig debut in 2013. Only Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski (29) has netted more Bundesliga goals than Werner (25) this season.
His performances, and that relatively low price tag on his head has meant that we have made the first move to try and get the little star to sign up, with reports suggesting he has agreed a £170,000-a-week deal to make the move to London.
But Despite losing out on one of their top targets, Bayern boss Flick was gracious in defeat and commended Frank Lampard’s side for sealing the deal.
‘This is a decision Timo made. And you have to respect that, everything is okay,’ Flick told reporters on BILD
‘Timo is a very good player, also a player who scores. Chelsea made a very good commitment if that’s the case.’

it is believed that Werner has agreed a massive £175,000-a-week deal to sign with us for the next five years, and will look to challenge Tammy Abraham for that numbe rone spot at the Bridge.

Jamie Redknapp has claimed Timo Werner must make Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp regret missing out on his signature when he finalises his move Chelsea
We have seemingly won the race to sign the brilliantly gifted German in the summer window after news broke that they have agreed a five-year deal worth around £175,000-a-week to bring him to the Premier League, despite the fact Liverpool wanted him
And reacting to the rumours, ex-Liverpool midfielder Redknapp told football.london: ‘It’s a great signing.
‘They have got [Hakim] Ziyech as well and he looks like a really good signing as well. Frank is building a really good, young side.
‘Tammy [Abraham] has done well up front, but he can play in any of the three front positions. I think it just shows that they are doing good things at Chelsea. Frank has done a great job, especially if they get top four.
‘If the deal is done without knowing that Chelsea are going to be in the Champions League, then it shows you that he was very impressed with what Frank and Chelsea are doing right now.
‘He will probably look at that Chelsea front line, with Willian and Pedro out of contract this summer, and think that he can be a regular in that team.’
‘Meanwhile at Liverpool, who is going to replace. He’s a really good player, but we don’t know right now, is he better than [Sadio] Mane, [Roberto] Firmino, [Mohamed] Salah?’ Redknapp added.
‘It’s one of the best front three in the world right now so he doesn’t want to go somewhere and be a number two or a sub. ‘Will they regret it? You don’t know but that is what he has got to do.
‘He has got to make Liverpool regret that decision, or at least make them think,
“I wish we had signed him!” ‘For Liverpool they have got to look it and think, if you bring someone like him in it could upset the balance of them and maybe they might think,
“Would it be worth the risk to bring in another player?” ‘They have three top class players who don’t get many injuries, why risk upsetting balance.’
