Agent announces midfielder to be a Chelsea player in the summer, Freiburg opens up about striker deal, Nevin announces Chelsea fans to see duo make move
Guys here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news gossip and transfer news from icchelseanews.com over the past 24 hours.
Jorginho is all set to stay at Chelsea after his agent dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Juventus.
After a stuttering first season under Maurizio Sarri last season, in which the Italian star failed to impress on many of his outings in a Blues shirt, Jorginho has become an integral part of Frank Lampards’ season this year and has seemingly won the Blues fans round with his impressive performances.
However, the Italy international has been heavily linked with a move to Juventus, where he would be reunited with Maurizio Sarri for the third time in his career, as the former boss is keen to be reignited with the man that he had so much success at Napoli with
Reports suggested Juve would offer up Federico Bernardeschi once the window opens up in hopes of agreeing a player exchange deal, and Jorginho was reportedly open to moving to Italy, due to his relationship with Sarri, but his agent Joao Santos has downplayed any talk of a move, insisting the player is happy.
He indicated Jorginho would be willing to extend his current deal and committing his future to the club: “Juventus? I read that, but I never had contact with them,” he told calciomercato.it.
“Neither Sarri nor Fabio Paratici [Juventus CEO] have ever called me for information on Jorginho.
“To date, I know absolutely nothing about this situation
“The lad is very happy in London, where he is showing his worth and where he still has three more years on his contract.
“In fact, in July, there is the possibility of adding a fourth [year] and opening negotiations for a renewal of the contract with Chelsea.
“We don’t know what the marketing strategies of Juventus are, but these are our plans for our future.
“And, I repeat – to date, neither Juventus nor any other team has come forward.”
Freiburg have denied rumours that Chelsea have made a bid for their striker Luca Waldschmidt ahead of the summer transfer window.
There has been speculation in the media about possible incomings and out-goings in the summer transfer window, with a number of world class players linked with a move to the club and a number of fringe players linked with a move away, players like Giroud.
There was even speculation in the media that he was all set to leave during the January window, but with the club unable to sign a new striker, and Abraham picking up a serious injury, it meant that Lampard needed the Frenchman to stay put until at least the end of the season.
However, reports on the SUNDAY SUN have claimed that Giroud is all set to depart the club at the end of the season, as he has ‘already agreed personal terms’ to sign with Inter, and that means that we will surely step up their chase for Waldschmidt.
[the_ad id=”164″]Waldschmidt, 23, has won two senior caps following his sensational performance in last year’s European Under-21 Championship in Italy, where he banged in seven goals in four games, and the locals were so impressed with the starlet they named him ‘Il Bomber’ in a nod to West Germany’s legend Gerd Muller, who was known as ‘Der Bomber
Football.London say media outlets in Germany claim we have commenced talks in over a £20million move for the Bundesliga player, but the club’s sporting director Clemens Hartenbach told Bild: “It is clear that Luca is rightly interesting for other clubs.
“However, no contact has been made in this case. We don’t know anything about it.”
Chelsea youngsters Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount should be relishing the prospect of playing with Hakim Ziyech next season, claims Peter Crouch.
We may have been linked with some big players during the winter transfer window in January, and fans may have not seen the signings that many would have liked, but soon into February we made the shock move to complete a deal for Ziyech.
Ziyech is regarded as one of the most creative and exciting players in Europe right now and has been one of the main reasons why Ajax have been so successful both domestically and in Europe over the past few seasons.
The 26-year-old will make the move Stamford Bridge in the summer after his £37million move from Ajax was agreed earlier this year, which has got many fans excited to see just what he will bring to the club next season, and now Crouch has got in on the act.
‘I think he can light the Premier League up, I really do,’ Crouch told BT Sport.
‘I love watching him, the majority of it is his influence in matches is what I love. ‘He was part of such a young, vibrant Ajax side, but he’s going to a similar side at Chelsea. That’s what Frank Lampard wants at Chelsea, he wants young players.
‘I know he’s not as young as he once was, he’s 27 now, but he was part of that side. He’s got a fantastic left foot, tremendous ability on the ball. When he drops deep he can pick a pass.
‘We don’t know the situation with Pedro and Willian, they might move on. I think he will slip straight into that [spot] and become a huge asset for Chelsea, he can be a huge player for them next season.
‘They lost Eden Hazard, one of the world’s greatest players and he got Chelsea fans off their feet. He was exciting to watch, he carried so much of the burden for Chelsea.
‘I’m not saying [Ziyech] will hit the ground running and be a replacement for Eden Hazard, but I do think he’s got the ability to be something close to that.
‘I think he’s got tremendous ability, he’s exciting, and he’ll be an asset to the Premier League.
‘He’ll help players, the likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham. If I was Tammy Abraham, I’d be licking my lips at some of the assists this man can provide.’
