Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director Rudi Voller believes Chelsea new-boy Kai Havertz to shine at Stamford Bridge.

After many months of transfer speculation, rumours and frustration from the fans, we finally managed to secure a transfer deal to bring Havertz to the Premier League in a deal worth £71 million.

He became the clubs second most expensive signing when he put pen to paper on that £71 million deal, and is regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe after a stunning season in the Bundesliga saw him net an impressive 18-goals.

He is expected to walk straight into the style and learn alot from Frank Lampard,  and Voller has an exciting parting gift for fans.

Voller has opened up and told fans that Havertz is already world class and has even backed the German to be a star for the club, he told the BILD website: “Kai Havertz is already world class, certainly one of the best to have ever played for Bayer 04.

“In the coming years, Kai will prove what a great footballer he is in the extremely demanding English league.”

We are all expecting big things from Havertz as he is the type of player that fans are excited to see, but he will need time to adjust to the Premier League before he reaches that level that fans are hoping.

We are not expecting him to start the new season in sensational fashion, but with the quality that he can bring to the side, he is the type of player that will eventually get us back into the habit of winning titles.
