And now Rodgers has come out and claimed that Chilwell will be able can handle speculation surrounding a move to us — as he prepares to line up against them.

The Foxes boss said on the SUN: “I have no worries at all. Speculation is something you have to live with in this industry.

“He has good experiences now and can deal with that. It is a part of the game and we know that.”

Rodgers has been particularly impressed with how Chilwell has returned to action following lockdown.

He added: “Ben has come back and he has been brilliant. He has come back and looks fresh.

“In the lockdown he has really pressed the reset button again.

“He has been fit and his running ability has been great.

“His defending has been good — and you saw his goal he scored against Watford. It was a brilliant strike.”

Willian has admitted he remains open to extending his stay at Chelsea past his short-term extension at the end of the season.

There has been talk that he could be leaving at the end of the season as reports in the media have suggested that we may not be willing to offer him a new contract because of his age, and may be willing to let him leave the club on a free transfer, with the likes of Arsenal, Juventus and Barcelona eyeing up a possible deal

However, there has been some reports in the media which have suggested that Arsenal with boss Mikel Arteta seeking to add a bit more quality and experience to his side during the busy transfer period.

However, it seems that Willian still has a desire to stay at Stamford Bridge and has come out and told  fans that he is hoping that he gets to stay at the club beyond the end of the season and the transfer window.

He told the Blues official website: “I want to finish the season well if I go, or maybe I can stay,’

‘I don’t know but what I want now is to play well and for Chelsea to finish in the top four.”

Bayer Leverkusen hope to fend off interest in Chelsea target Kai Havertz but coach Peter Bosz has acknowledged that a deal could be completed by August.

Frank Lampard may have one of the most exciting and creative sides in the Premier League right now, but he will need to spend some money in the next couple of windows to improve the side in certain areas, especially with the likes of Willian and Pedro seemingly on their way out of the club.

That has led to the speculation in the media that Havertz, who is valued at around the £89 million mark, is now top of the shopping list of Lampard, who is reportedly a huge fan of the midfielder.

Real Madrid and Manchester United are also battling us for the signature of the highly-rated German, and boss Peter Bosz has acknowledged that a deal could be completed by August.

Bosz told BILD: “I don’t feel that he is thinking too much about transferring. Neither are we.

“I certainly don’t have the impression that this will be his last game for the club.

“He is still under contract with us and I have to assume that he will be with us next season too.

“That will include the German Cup final next month and the next Europa League game against Rangers in August.

“Of course, that’s all dependent on nothing happening before then.”

Havertz is a brilliant player that has great potential, but again, do we really need the man here at the Bridge?

Chelsea have already been busy in the upcoming transfer window, but can they challenge for that title next season?

Frank Lampard has shown this season that he has a very exciting young set of players that are just a few signings away from challenging for major honours, but he has already started addressing those issues.

He has added a world class winger to the side in the shape of Hakim Ziyech, who is regarded as one as the finest creative players in Europe right now, and he has also solved his striker issues, with Timo Werner a 30-goal a season striker that is already one of the best in the game.

And in the video below, courtesy of the ESPN YOUTUBE CHANNEL, Julien Laurens and Alexis Nunes discuss ours chances next season for winning the Premier League with Laurens suggesting that signings like Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner can take this young side to the next level.
