Chelsea told world class midfielder signing would fit the Premier League perfectly

Fox Sports journalist Christian Martin suggests Chelsea should seriously consider Arturo Vidal as a partner for N’Golo Kante at the base of their midfield.

There has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few days that Frank Lampard may make a move to try and sign the veteran midfielder in the transfer window after learning that Barcelona are seeking to offload the man.

Vidal is no 33-years of age and with Barcelona seeking to get the side freshened up after losing their La Liga title to Real Madrid, they are looking to sell a number of players in order to raise funds to get their very own transfer dealings done.

AND The Argentine journalist suggests THE Barca star would provide greater physicality in Lampard’s XI, as the Premier League would be a great fit for the tough tackling star

“In the Premier League he would fit greatly,” Martin told Red Gol.

“Arturo has quality, he has a break, he has strength, he has an attitude, playing him next to [N’Golo] Kanté would be tremendous.

“The truth is that Jorginho hasn’t succeeded as we expected, hopefully it can happen with Arturo. It’d be a nice challenge, because he’s not afraid to change either.”

We have said it before and we will say it again, back in the day Vidal would have been a great signing for the club and made the midfield world class, but he is coming to the back end of his career.

We dont need to add players that have one or two years left in the game, we need players for the long run right?
