Read all about it! Fekir move, Varane eyes exit, Bale boost, Hitman on way, Hudson-Odoi to stay in Chelsea roundup

Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news from us here at icchelseanews.

Chelsea target Nabil Fekir has opened the door to a potential summer move away from Lyon and onto the Premier League, with Liverpool also interested in a deal.

Last summer Fekir became the most talked about midfielder in Europe after an impressive season with Lyon, in which he netted 21-goals for the French giants, as he was linked with moves to Stamford Bridge, Real Madrid and Liverpool, with the latter pulling out of a move at the very last minute.

However, with speculation that Fekir could still make the move to the Premier League, the Frenchman has announced he does not know if he will be leaving during the summer window.

He said: It’s part of a player’s career, but it makes you stronger and you have to move forward.

‘I really don’t know what I will do [next summer].

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has opened the door for Gareth Bale to make a move back to the Premier League in the summer, by offering the Welshman no assurances on his future.

Bale has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past 12 months as there is a lot of speculation that the hierarchy and fans are fed up with his lacklustre performances in a Real shirt, despite the fact he is one of the highest paid players in world football right now.

Now Zidane gave no assurances that Bale would be at the club next season.

‘We are going to play these 10 games and then we will see,’ he said on the Sky Sports website.

‘I will not talk about next season, we have 10 games left. Gareth is an important member of the squad, we know what he has done here, especially in the Champions League finals.

‘Nobody can take away what he has done. We know he can bring a lot to the team and we will count on him.’

We are leading Manchester United and Arsenal in the chase to sign Luka Jovic in the summer transfer window.

We ended month of speculation during the January transfer window and managed to secure a loan deal for Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín, while also wrapping up a deal which saw Alvaro Morata depart for Atletico Madrid, as they needed to revamp the front-line.

But there is speculation that we are looking to sign a more long-term answer to their problems, as the Argentine is coming towards the back end of his career and Jovic has been linked with a move.

Recent reports have claimed we have already made a £39 million offer to sign the hitman, who has scored an impressive 23 goals already for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, but that has been swiftly rejected by the German side.

And now Spanish outlet Marca claim that while Barcelona and Real are keen on the 21-year-old, we are at the front of the queue among Jovic’s English suitors, but Eintracht will demand a monster fee for Jovic should they decide to sell this summer with some reports claiming the German side have set a £67million asking price.

Paul Mariner has told Chelsea that Callum Hudson-Odoi will not be joining Barcelona in the summer, and he needs to stay wit the club.

Hudson-Odoi has become a firm fans favourite and has impressed on every occasion that he has stepped onto the pitch, his performances in the Europa League even earned him a call-up to the England National side, with boss Gareth Southgate believing he has a big future in the game.

However, speculation is rife about where he will end up during the summer window, with a number of top clubs all circling to try and prse him away from Stamford Bridge with the premise of regular football.

But Mariner has claimed that he needs to stay, and will not be leaving for the likes of Barcelona this coming summer.

“Hudson-Odoi, every single Chelsea fan wants him to stay at Chelsea,” said Mariner on the Daily Express website

“Sarri’s been reluctant to play him, I don’t know why, I really don’t. Sometimes he plays Pedro, okay [Eden] Hazard’s got to play, and [Gonzalo] Higuain is playing through the middle, or [Olivier] Giroud.

“But on that right-hand side, get him in. He either scores or he assists. Dynamic player, but he isn’t going to Barcelona.

“He can’t be because of the block on the transfers at Chelsea at the moment. He’s got to stay, they’ve got no players.”

Real Madrid star and Chelsea target Raphael Varane is reportedly keen on a potential move to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Varane has become a vital member of the squad at the Bernabue since being given his chance in the Madrid side by Mourinho, but there are reports that he fancies a fresh challenge after helping the Spanish giants win a number of trophies over the seasons.

We have been linked with a potential move for the Frenchman as we seek to bolster the defences at the end of the season, with reports suggesting they we prepared to splash the cash and try to tempt him away from La Liga.

And now Spanish publication AS has claimed that the Frenchman is eyeing up a move to the Premier League if he decides to leave the Spanish giants at the end of the current season.
