Havertz passes medical, Upamecano opens up about possible move, Werner message sent, Chelsea told to sign Rice and sell Kante in icChelseanews roundup..
Kai Havertz is expecting his Chelsea deal to be completed soon after already passing a medical, reports in the media have claimed.
We have been unable to wrap up a deal for the German simply because a fee cannot get agreed, but after months of talks, a deals will be announced in the coming days, according to The Telegraph
The deal is worth £90m plus add-ons – easily the club’s record buy, beating Kepa Arrizabalaga’s £71.6m move from Athletic Bilbao, and Havertz will sign a five-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
And the report on the Telegraph goes on to say that an announcement is expected shortly by Havertz after he completed his medical with the club whilst on international duty with Germany
He will one of the most exciting signings that Frank Lampard would have completed, as he looks to finally fill the void that was left by the brilliant Willian when he decided to make the move to Arsenal.
There has been so many reports about this transfer deal, so fans will be hoping that is one is true and he is finally signed up, as they simply cannot wait to welcome a player that will develop into one of the very best players in the game.
Chelsea have been told they should sell N’Golo Kante and sign Declan Rice this summer transfer window
With Frank Lampard looking to build a side that is more than capable of challenging for that Premier League title next season, Roman Abramovic has backed the club legend financially in the players that he wants to bring to the club.
Rice has become one of the best holding midfielders in the top-flight, and his performances have meant that he is now a full England International, and is valued at around the £80 million mark.
Now, Jamie O’Hara has urged the club to get rid of Kante this transfer window and bring in the West Ham midfielder, as he would be an upgrade on the Frenchman.
“If they have the opportunity to bring in Declan Rice now and get rid of N’Golo Kante, it has to happen,” he said on TalkSport
“He is not the finished article but he is 21 years of age, he is already playing for England and he is arguably the best defensive midfielder England have got.
“He has not done what N’Golo Kante has done but, in my mind, he is going to be a better player and he gives more to the team in terms of the way Chelsea want to play.
“He receives it on the half turn, he wants to play it forward, like Michael Carrick. For me, he is the Michael Carrick that Manchester United had when they dominated.
“Declan Rice can go to Chelsea and be the Michael Carrick of that era.”
[the_ad id=”164″]Dayot Upamecano has broken his silence over a potential move to the Premier League, with Chelsea linked.
Upamecano has become one of the most sought after young defenders in the game after helping RB Salzburg reach the latter stages of the Champions League last season, and a whole host of elite clubs are ready to pay £54 million and get a transfer deal done.
We are one of the clubs that are reportedly interested in a potential deal, as Frank Lampard knows that he needs to improve that back-line in order to get the club challenging for Champions League and Premier League titles in this coming season.
However, the 21-year-old signed a new contract with Leipzig in June and he insists his immediate future will remain in Germany, he told BILD: “I extended my contract with Leipzig because I feel good with my team-mates,”
“My coach is giving me confidence. He’s learning as well, but he gives me confidence and it improves my level.
“I’ve been in Leipzig for more than three years, I feel good. I’ve been in demand, I talked to some clubs, it’s true, but I’m not in a hurry.
“We’ll see what happens in the future.”
immy Floyd Hasselbaink has given his thoughts on Timo Werner and told Chelsea fans to be patient with the striker.
Werner banged in over 30 goals last season for German outfit Rb Salzburg and his performances caught the attentions of boss Frank Lampard, who was desperate to add a another striker to the side.
Werner is expected to walk straight into that side and replace Tammy Abraham, who will now need to step in order to get the kind of game time that he received last season under Lampard.
But Hasselbaink has opened up and urged the fans to give Werner at least six months before you start seeing the best of the talented little German
“German football is totally different to the English game so it will be difficult for Werner to settle straight in,” the ex-Chelsea striker told GentingBet.
“We know he’s a talented player. We know what he can do. And Chelsea need a player that can score goals.
“But, we also need to give him the time.
“If you look at Aubameyang when he came, he needed six months. So, give him those six months as well.”
Werner will need time, we all know that, but he is already one of the very best strikers in Europe and we are hoping to see 30-goals from him next season, that would be a great start to life at the Bridge.
We paid big money, so he will need to deliver or the media will be all over him like flies on s**t
