Tuchel interested in Chelsea move

Atletico Madrid star Jose Gimenez is a player that Thomas Tuchel would like to be signed by Chelsea in the transfer window.

Gimenez is fast becoming one of the most solid defenders in the game right now and is attracting all sorts of interest from the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid and PSG for his very impressive performances in that Madrid shirt.

The Uruguayan has been at Atletico Madrid since 2013 and has managed to win two La Liga titles with the Spanish giants – as they are the only team that can stop Barcelona and Real Madrid from winning that title

He has a very high price tag that Chelsea would have to meet and pay, roughly around the £70 million mark, and would need some convincing that a move to the Premier League would be the best option for him.

Now reports on the Telegraph has claimed that Tuchel has given a list of targets to new owner Ted Boehly ahead of the transfer window and Gimenez is a player that he is very interested in.

It has been claimed all over the media over the past few days that Boehly will allow Tuchel to spend close to £200 million in the coming transfer window – to improve key areas of the squad.

Look, the club have added the right players to that squad that have impressed so far this season, but Gimenez is a player that is on another level and a player that would be a great partner for Thiago Silva, and then an immediate replacement for the Brazilian.

So if the reports are true and he is one player that could be heading to Stamford Bridge – he will be a brilliant signing
