Tuchel told to wrap up Chelsea signing who will ‘improve the team straight away’
Thomas Tuchel has been told to make a move and try to secure a transfer deal for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski
Lewandowski scored 50 goals in all competitions last season and, in their last four seasons, has scored 193 times – butThe 33-year-old marksman is determined to quit the German giants for a new challenge after shooting them to their eighth title in ten years.
Barcelona have been the Poland international’s first choice for some time but Bayern – who have fought in vain to keep their prize asset – want £42million up front.
With the Spanish giants’ financial situation posing a problem, we have made moves to tempt Lewandowski to the Premier League and the French league respectively
Lewandowski’s capture would represent a statement signing for new owner Todd Boelhy and an impressive response to Manchester City’s capture of Erling Haaland and Liverpool’s signing of Darwin Nunez.
After Thomas Tuchel refused to comment on speculation linking the club with Cristiano Ronaldo and Robert Lewandowski, Glen Johnson has urged the club to snap up the latter.
Glen Johnson, the first signing of the Roman Abramovich era, believes the Polish ace would carry an instant goal threat in the Premier League.
“If you’re choosing a player to improve the starting eleven, then I’d go for Robert Lewandowski over Cristiano Ronaldo, all day long,” Johnson told Bettingodds.com.
“If it’s commercial, then I can understand if you opted for Cristiano Ronaldo.
“If I could only take one, then I’d take Lewandowski as he can improve the team straight away and I do believe Chelsea need a striker.”

Lewandowski has done most his scoring in the Bundesliga and Champions league – so the Premier League would be a true test – but if they could get the best out of the player – he would add at least 30-goals to the attack next season
