Tuchel looking for Chelsea funds to bring £300,000-a-week star to the Bridge

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will want summer transfer backing from Marina Granovskaia in his bid to land a more long-term replacement for the ageing Brazilian icon Thiago Silva.

Silva has been outstanding for the club since his move from PSG during the summer transfer window and has been the big reason why the club have been so defensively quality under Tuchel over the past couple of months.

However, we saw Thiago Silva dismissed before the half hour in their defeat to West Brom, at the weekend and And that’s made it clear the Blues require a long-term replacement for the Brazil international, who is evidently reaching the end of his long and successful career.

And that has led to constant speculation in the media that Alaba, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, is high up on the shopping list of the German boss Tuchel.

We are blessed with financial power and although the club has been hit by Covid-19, Abramovic is still reportedly willing to offer Alaba that £300,000-a-week wages that he reportedly wants.

Again, Alaba is a brilliant defender that has the ability to play in a number of positions, but at the end of the day, he is more of a left-back and not the ideal man to come in and replace Silva.

However, he would still be a very good addition to this side if they do manage to get a deal done, and it will be interesting to see just where he ends up.
