Boss tells Chelsea fans £60M valued defender is making summer move

Tuchel interested in Chelsea move

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has confirmed Andreas Christensen will leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

Christensen is one of the highest rated young defenders in Europe right now and has become a big part of Thomas Tuchels side, but just like Antonio Rudiger, he is out of contract at the end of the season and with the likes of Barcelona eyeing up a deal, he could be set to depart the club

The club did not want him to leave however, and were in deep talks with his agents about extending his stay at Stamford Bridge, but talks have been happening for months now and they failed to agree a new contract with the defender

Now, Thomas Tuchel has come out and admitted that Chelsea will be losing Christensen at the end of the season after failing to agree that new contract with the defender

He stated: “We’re losing him.”

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the centre-back agreed a deal with Barcelona weeks ago.

Christensen is a very gifted young defender and it is easy to see just why Barcelona swooped in to take him to the Spanish League

It is a massive blow for the club to lose another valuable member of the squad – but he is certainly a player that can be replaced in the transfer window – he is not a regular starter

It will be interesting to see just who the club make a transfer move for when he officially departs and when the new owner is able to complete his move to the club
