Lamps addresses rumours, Time to replace Lampard with Allegri? Pirlo makes Giroud claim and Haaland boost given in icchelseanews roundup..

Chelsea are seemingly closing in on a deal for Thomas Tuchel, after Frank Lampard addressed his Chelsea future.

We have won just one of their last seven Premier League matches and sit eighth in the table, seven points behind Liverpool having played a game more than the reigning champions.

Pressure is building on the former England International to get the results, when pundits not suggesting that he will be the first boss in the Premier League to get the sack.

There has been talk in the media that Thomas Tuchel is very interested in making the move to the Premier League and taking charge of the club, especially after he got the sack from PSG just a few weeks ago, but Lampard has addressed all the rumours about his future

“I am not going to speak for the people above or the board,” he said at a press conference after the match.

“I can’t answer about my contract, the run and the difficult results, I can only speak as the manager of the club.”

He added: “I am not concerned on that. I just spoke to the team after the game about how I expected periods of difficulty. I know it doesn’t come easy.

“A month ago, people were discussing when was I going to get a new contract. Pressure remains constant. My job is to keep working and pick up the players.

“I had tough periods last year. Maybe I had some mitigating circumstances so people didn’t view them the same but I had a really good run in November and we lost three home games in December that we controlled.

“We lost 1-0, 2-0, 1-0 and to me they felt tough and rough. I am a perfectionist who wants the best for this club.

“The first person who puts on the pressure is me. At times, last year, I wanted to push and be even better than fourth, even though I felt it was an achievement considering the ban and the youth in the squad.

“This season the 16-game unbeaten run was something I was always trying to temper as it went on. We breezed through our Champions League group.

“I didn’t take much notice of that because I felt that with the players and the way they were playing that we should get through and we showed some really good form.”

Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo has backed his side to move for in-form Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

Despite the fact that Giroud was a major player for the clublast season in their quest to get back into those top four spots, there has been constant speculation about his long-term future at the club as he simply has not been a regular this season.

But Giroud has hinted he will stay with the club for at least the rest of the season, after a strong run that has seen him score eight goals in his last seven outings in the Premier League and Champions League.

And Pirlo didn’t deny that such form has caught his attention. When asked about a possible move for Giroud, he replied to DAZN: “He’d be handy!

“The window opens tomorrow, we already discussed with the club what we want to do and if there are any opportunities. Maybe a striker that can rotate with our strikers.”

There is a real change in the performances of Giroud over the past few months and he has become a big part of the starting line-up, but how many times have we seen the Frenchman start performing just before the transfer windows, and then drop off.

It is time for Chelsea to surely think about appointing Max Allegri as there new boss to replace Mikel Arteta?

Lampard was handed some serious money in the summer transfer window to turn this side into real title contenders, but despite spending over £200 million, Lampard has seen side fall seven points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League after the 3-1 loss to Manchester City at the weekend..

Allegri is a world class boss that has the tactical ability to compete with the very best, he has won countless trophies and has the experience to get the very best out of the players that he usually works with, he will definitely be a world class signing.

He won five consecutive Serie A titles in Turin, adding to the singular Scudetto he won at Milan in 2011 – the last time a team other than Juventus won the Italian top flight, but he opted to leave the Italians and seek a fresh challenge in the game.

Allegri is also improving his English language skills and looking for his next job. and has opened the door for the club to swoop in and make an offer, should they believe that Lampard is not the man to guide the club back to the top of the game

Minio Raiola has rubbished suggestions that he has brokered a deal with a Barcelona presidential candidate to take Erling Haaland to Camp Nou, which will alert Chelsea

Haaland is regarded as one of the very best young strikers in world football right now and since his move to Borussia Dortmund last season, he has netted an impressive 33 goals in just 32 games for the Bundesliga side.

We have been linked with a future move for the powerhouse, but reports suggested that Barcelona presidential candidate Emili Rousaud has reportedly made Haaland’s signature one of his priorities.

Josep Maria Minguella is advising Rousaud and claims the fundamentals are in place for a deal to be done: “We know all the conditions and if we win, the following day I will call Mino Raiola and we will accept those conditions. I have already advised him of that,” Minguella is quoted as saying by AS .

“We have a world-class sports project that is not showing just now, but Emili Rousaud has a plan that will turn this unfortunate situation [at Barcelona] around.”

Raiola was contacted by Sport1 and he has claimed the reports are “fake news” and that he has never spoken to any Barcelona presidential candidate.

“Fake news!” Raiola said. “I’ve never talked to any presidential candidate of Barcelona regarding Haaland or any other of my clients and I will not do that either.

“If there is a new president of Barcelona elected in January he can call me.”

The day that Haaland comes onto the market is a day that we hope that the club step up and make a move
