Haaland for £78 million? Chelsea sent Camavinga message and Tuchel addresses Suarez rumours in Chelsea latest…
Thomas Tuchel claims to have no intention of rekindling his interest in Luis Suarez now that he is calling the shots at Chelsea
The South American has thrived in the Premier League before, with an eventful three-and-a-half years spent at Liverpool between January 2011 and the summer of 2014, and during his time at Anfield, Suarez scored 82 goals through 133 appearances.
He opened a new chapter in his career when linking up with Barca and went on to plunder 198 goals for the Liga giants, but A return to England could be made if the money and sporting project was right, but Tuchel is not interested in a deal
Tuchel told reporters when asked about his previous interest in Suarez: “It was a possibility. We heard the rumours he was about to leave Barcelona, and who cannot be interested in signing one of the best strikers in world football history and the present?
“We tried our luck, we did not make it. He decided to stay in Spain, move to Atletico, and has proven his quality.
“He is a natural striker, a born striker, and has the certain mentality that only strikers have. This mentality is to show his will, intensity and anger to score, score and score. He is never satisfied.
“So what a mentality, what a player. I’m not involved in his history with Chelsea and to me it’s never good to look too far in the past. We only look forward.
“We play him tomorrow with Atletico and we know about his qualities. We are aware of them and will try to stop him from scoring.”
Chelsea target Eduardo Camavinga will be “the best midfielder in the world” according to his agent Jonathan Barnett.
Camavinga is a player that has been linked with all the biggest clubs over the past few seasons after developing very nicely at Rennes, where he has enjoyed another superb season with Julien Stephan’s side but is widely expected to be the subject of a move this summer.
We have been named as clubs that could swoop in and try to get a transfer deal done, although he would cost close to £50 million to acquire.
But amid all the speculation, his agent Jonathan Barnett has opened up and claimed that Camavinga has the potential to go on and become the best midfielder in world football: “At the moment, he’s a Rennes player,” Barnett exclusively told Goal. “He likes Rennes and, at the moment, we haven´t really taken to other clubs. It isn’t our position.
“Let’s see what happens later on, but he’s doing well in Rennes and that’s fine. Being the best midfielder in the world, that’s how I see his future, [with] a lot of medals and a lot of trophies.”
“Eduardo will have a choice of a lot of clubs if Rennes decides to release him. They will be one of the four of five clubs in the world he might go to.
“Eduardo would love to play for a top club. Madrid are one of those top clubs in the world, so are Barcelona.”
Asked if Camavinga would cost more than €50m, he added: “I would think so.”
Chelsea target Erling Haaland wants a basic wage of around £300,000-a-week in the summer
Over the past few seasons, Haaland has established himself as one of the most deadly strikers in world football and has been breaking all sorts of records in the Bundesliga, and the Champions League.
That has led to alot of reports on the media that we are interested in trying to sign up the hitman in the summer transfer window, as the club seek to add a new striker to their squads.
Reports have suggested that Dortmund would not like to sell Haaland in the transfer window and are hoping to keep the talented young man, but they would be willing to let him leave if that £78 million asking price is met.
And The Daily Star claims he wants a five-year deal that would see him net a basic wage of £300,000 per week.
Look, if the reports are true and that is the amount of money that Dortmund want for a player that already has the ability to bang in over 30 goals a season, and has the ability to play for the next ten years, then a deal should get struck.
He really is a special talent that will play for one of the games biggest clubs, and it will be very interesting to see just what club he decides to join, as they all have the financial ability to pay his asking price and then pay him that high wage.
And fans would love to see him at the Bridge every week right?
