Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from icchelseanews featuring the likes of Jonathan David, ben Chilwell and Marc Guehi…

CHELSEA transfer target Marc Guehi is more interested in completing a future move to join Liverpool.

Enzo Maresca has done a wonderful job at Chelsea so far this season and the Blues are now in the race to challenge for that Premier League title, but that hasnt stopped all the speculation about the players that the Blues could look to sign.

Guehi has been brilliant for Crystal Palace over the past few seasons, his stock in the game has really risen and he is now rated as one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and a player that Chelsea have been linked with signing, for a fee of £60 million.

However – despite the many reports suggesting that CHELSEA are interested in a deal for the defender, it has been claimed on the Daily Mail website that the England International would like to join Liverpool.

The reports adds that Whether his departure happens during the January transfer window or in the summer, the centre-back wants to head to a Champions League club.

And amid all the speculation and rumours, Stanley has claimed that Guéhi’s success at Crystal Palace has proven his ability to perform consistently at the highest level, and could be a great addition to any top side, he said: ”His ability to organize the backline and remain composed under pressure would bring some more quality to any top level side.

‘Guéhi’s ball-playing ability makes him an ideal fit for a top club, who values defenders capable of building from the back. His accurate passing and comfort in possession would complement Liverpool’s and Chelsea’s modern, possession-heavy approach.

‘For the right amount of money, he could be a very good signing for any top club’

DAVID TRANSFER BOOST GIVEN

long-term CHELSEA transfer target Jonathan David not a player that Barcelona are interested in signing over the next couple of transfer windows as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

David has earned a reputation as one of the finest strikers in Europe’s top five leagues. The 24-year-old has scored 97 goals in 202 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants. His displays alone have caught the attention of some of the biggest teams in the game.

It had been reported on many occasions that Barcelona are very much interested in holding talks with David during the January window about a potential move at the end of the season, as the ageing Lewandowski cannot play forever.

However, Barcelona have now taken David off their list as they believe that the Canadian striker is not the right profile for Hansi Flick’s current side, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalans had been interested in David after he revealed that playing for Barcelona was his “dream.”

We re one of the clubs that are interested, it seems that the board are keen to sign David on a free, but as we said, he will have plenty of options in the coming windows and needs to make the right career choice.

He is a quality striker, but is the same type of player as Nicolas Jackson, and to be honest, our man is alot better than the Canadian at this stage of the season.

CHILWELL TIPPED FOR MOVE

Ben Chilwell  have been tipped to lead a mini-exodus from CHELSEA once the mid-season transfer window opens in a matter of days, according to BBC Sport.

He has been plagued by injuries over the past few seasons and after impressing at the Euros – Marc Cucurella is now the number one left-back for Enzo Maresca this season and for the immediate future

The BBC website has claimed that Chilwell could be one of a number of players that we sell in order to help finance the books a little bit.

A loan is also a possibility for Cesare Casadei, with Feyenoord and Monza both named as suitors. Home-grown talent Harvey Vale is available for a permanent exit six months before his contract expires. Fellow youngster Alex Matos is the fifth who could go.

Enzo Maresca opened up at the end of the smmer and revealed that Chilwell was free to leave the club – Commenting on the left-back, Maresca said: ““Chilly [Chilwell] is with us but he has not been training for the last few days because he has been ill.

“The reason he did not play versus Inter [Milan] was because, with Chilly it is quite clear, even though I love the way he is, the problem is, he is struggling a bit to find the right position.

“This morning we had 22 players training and if you ask all of them they will say they want to play against City on Sunday.

“But that is impossible. When you train every day and do not get any minutes it is not good for them or for me.

“I need to make a decision and probably it is better to leave and go and get minutes. The transfer window is open so we’ll see what happens.”
