Statement announced after Chelsea fans see Tomori depart for Milan

AC Milan have announced their delight that Fikayo Tomori has agreed a move to the Italian club.

Tomori is a talent that was expected to be a massive part of the plans this season, but the fact he has fallen down the pecking order at the club and not really been given a chance, he sought a move away from the club

And that alerted Italian giants AC Milan, who have been massive fans of the young man for a while now and have decided to make a loan move till the end of the season, with an option to make the transfer permanent for £27million.

The Italians posted on their website: “AC Milan is delighted to announce the signing of Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola Tomori on loan from Chelsea FC until the end of the season. The defender has signed a contract until June 30, 2021, but AC Milan have an option to make the deal permanent.”

We have said it before and we will say it again, it is a massive shame that Tomori is not able to make an impact on this side, but at the end of the day, this is a massive opportunity for the lad to go to Italy and win Seria A, Milan are favourites to end the dominance by Juventus.

And if a move is permanent , it will be a massive loss for the club to lose such a gifted player, especially as we firmly believe that he has the ability and quality to push on and become one the very best in Europe
