Ted Boehly wants to complete Chelsea signing of goal-machine

Ronaldo

Chelsea could still make a move for star Cristiano Ronaldo before the end of the transfer window – journalist Simon Phillips has opened up and claimed

Rumours emerged just a few weeks ago that the clubs owner Ted Boehly had met with the agent of Ronaldo to discuss a possible move to Stamford Bridge – but that was swiftly rejected by the Man United board

However – those rumours still persist in the media and there is a feeling that the right offer could tempt Ronaldo to London – especially as he wants to play Champions League football and challenge for all the big trophies

Now – amid all the speculation – Phillips has come out and claimed that the club could still make a move for Ronaldo this summer – as Ted Boehly wants to add him to the squad

He told GiveMeSport: “I think Ronaldo could come into the conversation again come the end of the window.

“Whether United would let him go or not is another situation, but Boehly wants him, and I think they could talk about him again before the end of the window.”

For the short term – Ronaldo would be a brilliant signing for the club – but in the long-term – he would not

He is right at the very end of his playing days and although he is still scoring goals – he does not suit the style of Tuchel at the club and would struggle.

It is not the right time to try and sign the player – as he does not suit the way that we want to play the game’

He would just bring alot of drama to the side that Tuchel does not need right now – and it could be a massive mistake to try and get a deal done
