£80 million man addresses rumours amid Chelsea speculation
Aurelien Tchouameni has spoken on his future and the transfer rumours linking him with the likes of Chelsea heading into the summer transfer window.
Tchouameni began his career at Bordeaux and made 37 appearances for the club after making his debut in a Europa League qualifier in July 2018 at the age of 18.
He signed for Monaco in January 2020 after putting pen-to-paper on a four-year deal and has been in scintillating form ever since, making 76 appearances for his current club and finding the back of the net five times.
And With interest high, it could be the case that Monaco sell to the highest bidder – with reports that Thomas Tuchel is more than keen to add some more talent to his squad in the coming days
Despite all the drama surrounding Chelsea, there is still alot of speculation in the media about the type of players that could arrive in the transfer window, amid all the rumours, Tchouameni addressed the speculation over his future ahead of France’s friendly with South Africa on Tuesday.
“You don’t necessarily have to play at Real or Manchester City to play for the France team,” the midfielder told a press conference.
Tchouameni is a special talent that has a very bright future in the game, so if the club do manage to wrap up a transfer deal for the man, he would be a great investment for the club
But it will be very interesting to see where the player ends up as the interest is high, and the player knows that he needs to make the right career choice in order to keep progressing in the game
Chelsea will surely sign a few world class players in the summer window in order to help close that gap on Man City and Liverpool, especially as the owners will want to put their own stamp on the squad.
