Chelsea wants powerful Bundesliga star as World class act plans move

CHELSEA are plotting a move for another centre-back, with Bayer Leverkusen star Jonathan Tah now on the shopping list.

Everybody doubted that Thiago Silva would be able to compete at the level he has over the past 15 years because of his age – and many believed he could not handle the Premier League.

However – that has not been the case and he has been one of the best central defenders in the Premier League – and a real leader for the Blues ever since he arrived at the club.

But there is a massive feeling that this will be his last season at the London club and he will seek a move back to his homeland, where he has dreams of playing until he officially hangs up his boots.

The west Londoners are looking for a long-term replacement for Thiago Silva and journalist Christian Falk reports that 27-year-old Tah is the latest to come onto their radar

However, there is a chance that Brazilian veteran Silva will remain at Stamford Bridge, with the club to make a decision over a possible extension in the near future.
