Striker tipped for Chelsea move – Palmer sends message to new Blues signing – £50M star eyes move

Here is the latest Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys could have missed…
Eidur Gudjohnsen got a thrill out of seeing his son on the big stage at Stamford Bridge – and the former Chelsea striker reckons 22-year-old Andri can follow in his footsteps by going right to the very top
Gudjohnsen admitted: “I couldn’t see how Andri would be a player when he was a kid. I’m not being negative, but he was a small, fat little boy who walked around with a ball under his arm!
“Only when he was seven or eight years old did I realise he could become a professional. He made really big steps in the academy of Espanyol when we were living there after my move to Barcelona.
“Andri has the ability to play as a complete striker. I never considered myself to be a complete striker when I played because I always needed to have a player in front of me. Andri doesn’t need that. He is a pure striker and he relies on support and power from the midfield players and the wingers.
“Andri is strong in the air – much better than his dad. He is skilful, thanks to the fact that he had his academy years in Spain, and he reads the game well. He has it all in his locker. I can see him going only one direction – and that is up
“I don’t say this as a father but as an analyst. I can see he has all the potential to grow to a higher level and make more steps in his career.
“Don’t forget, this is only his second season playing against men. In Sweden, he had a tough time because the coach for some reason was not keen on him.
“At his second club, Lyngby, they knew after just three training sessions that this boy was the perfect striker for them. And now he is in Belgium with Gent.”
PALMER SENDS MESSAGE TO WILLIAN
Cole Palmer has sent a private message to incoming Chelsea signing Estevao Willian – who is regarded as one of the finest talents to come out of Brazil right now.
Estêvão will officially join the club on July 1, 2025 once his 18th birthday has passed but the youngster is already dreaming of playing alongside Palmer when he officially makes that move to Stamford Bridge.
Palmer has told Estêvão that the duo are going to achieve ‘great things together for the club ’ once he turns up at Stamford Bridge next year – Speaking to The Guardian, Estêvão said: ‘When I signed for Chelsea , the next day I scored a goal and celebrated like Palmer.
‘His celebration was trendy, very popular. We talked on social media, I tagged him on Instagram.
‘He called me a star, I said he’s a star too. He said we’re going to do a lot of great things together for Chelsea.’
Chelsea have reportedly paid a €34m (£28.5m) fee to land Estêvão and could end up splashing out another €23m (£19.3m) in performances-based incentives.

If he can handle making the move to the Premier League – if he can handle the pressure of playing for a massive club like ours – then this could be a dream move to Europe of the lad.
JAMES READY FOR MOVE –
There has been some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea and Barcelona could do a transfer deal for right-back Reece James in the coming windows.
The academy graduate was named captain ahead of the 2023-24 season but went on to endure a frustrating campaign, with injuries restricting him to just 11 appearances in all competitions.
The defender has once again struggled for form this season and is a player that will struggle to get into that first team under Enzo Maresca – who is plotting a future without the England International.
Now – according to FootballTransfers, one of the players that could be available is captain Reece James.
The report claims that James is considering a move away from the club, and joining a team that plays in a warmer climate would be the desired destination.
His agent is already sounding out possible destinations, and Barcelona is one of the clubs that have been linked.

The club will probably not want to sell the defender for anything less than £50 million – so with the Spaniards in financial difficulties – they may struggle to meet those demands from the club – so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
I dont want the man to leave – but i totally understand if he wants to pack his bags and make the move to La Liga
