Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea fc transfer news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –

Wigan First Team Manager, Shaun Maloney has admitted that he is delighted with the news that the club have snapped up Dion Rankine from CHELSEA.

Having featured eight times for the U21s in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, the 21-year-old headed to Exeter City last summer for his first loan in professional football, where he was a huge success.

But Rankine has decided that he needed to make a move away from Stamford Bridge to further his career – and a switch to Wigan was quickly negotiated after just a few weeks of transfer speculation and rumours.

And after seeing the deal get announced – Maloney has opened up and revealed just how delighted he is that the young forward has decided to make the move to the club at this stage of his career, he told the club website: “I’m very pleased that we have managed to sign Dion on a permanent deal.

‘He has all the attributes that we are looking for in a wide forward, as well as the determination to enjoy a successful season.

“Dion can play on both sides and will bring speed and 1v1 ability to our attacking play, as well as having a brilliant mentality when we don’t have the ball.”

“Dion is another fantastic addition to our Football Club. He gained experience in League One last season with Exeter City, where he enjoyed a very successful season, racking up 36 appearances, which puts him in a fantastic position to hit the ground running for Shaun and the team this season.

“I’m sure supporters will enjoy watching Dion in action, and we look forward to seeing him on the pitch in Blue & White.”

Sam KERR DEAL DONE –

Chelsea have announced that Sam Kerr has agreed a new contract at the club, and the attacker is delighted with the deal.

The 30-year-old joined the Blues midway through the 2019/20 season and has played a starring role, with five Women’s Super League titles, three FA Cups, two Continental Tyres League Cups and one Community Shield, while also reaching the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

On putting pen to paper on a new deal, Kerr commented: ‘It’s really exciting and a very proud moment for me. Having the opportunity to stay at a club like Chelsea means a lot to me. I’m really excited to continue to push and to try to win trophies.’

‘It has been unbelievable,’ added the forward. ‘When I came to Chelsea, I joined to win trophies and we’ve definitely done that. These last four years, I’ve made memories and done so many things that I never thought were possible.

‘My signing day we spoke about the FA Cup and I used to watch that at home and think how amazing it was. The fact we won three back-to-back FA Cups was incredible to me. It’s completely smashed my expectations of what Chelsea would be. Hence why I’ve stayed so long!

‘Once you get the taste of this club and the community that Chelsea creates, it’s unbelievable and Chelsea will always be a part of my life now, whether I play here or not.

‘I will always be a massive CHELSEA fan because of the opportunities the club has given me.’

General manager Paul Green added: ‘We are delighted that Sam has extended her deal with the club. Sam is a leader and one of the world’s best strikers and goalscorers.

‘She has been very important to our success, and we look forward to welcoming her back from injury next season.’

IVAN TONEY COST £60M –

Chelsea have been told that £60 million will be enough to sign Ivan Toney this summer.

The club  do really have a striker that has the ability to score 20, 30 or even 40 goals a season and there is alot of speculation that the Blues are keen to add another striker to the side in the summer window.

And that has led to some reports in the media that we will be interested in a £50 million move to try and sign Ivan Toney from Brentford – who is regarded as one of the best strikers in the Premier League.

The new fee, however, still represents a significant outlay, with talkSPORT reporting that £60m will be required to convince Brentford to sell.

Toney will have a further chance to put himself in the shop window after being selected in England manager Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad for Euro 2024.

Amid all the speculation and rumours – Teddy Sheringham recently backed the club to secure a transfer deal for the big powerhouse – Offering his take on why Toney would be a smart signing for Chelsea, Sheringham told Genting Casino: “I think Ivan Toney would be a fantastic signing for CHELSEA.

‘He is a fantastic player who would enhance the current side.

“I don’t know what’s happened to his form, but I think a player of his stature can give a lot to a football team, he is a leader who knows his position and is coming into the prime of his career. I think he would be a great asset.”
