Chelsea make Hudson-Odoi claim, Broja announces delight and Chelsea told Rice will cost £100 million in top latest Chelsea news….
West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is worth £100million – especially after his Euro 2020 performances, former Hammer Carlton Cole believes.
Now the transfer window has been open for a while now but fans have not seen too many transfers get announced, with the only real business players departing Stamford Bridge
But there are alot of rumours that Declan Rice is a player that we are still interested in.
Former boss Frank Lampard was thought to be a big admirer of the England man with it also being reported that his replacement Thomas Tuchel had renewed the club’s interest
The Hammers are demanding £100million for his services and and Cole, who played for both West Ham and Chelsea, believes he is worth that fee following his exceptional displays at Euro 2020 for the Three Lions.
He told talkSPORT: “Every time he kicked a ball in the Euros, I was like: ‘His price has gone up!’
“He’s becoming more and more desirable and for me, he’s a top, top player – we all know that at West Ham.
“He’s proved himself there and been under the mentorship of a great West Ham legend in Mark Noble.
“He [Noble] hasn’t had any caps for England but been a great model pro. Rice has been working under his tutelage and learning the ropes in how to be a leader on the pitch.
“He’s got the qualities of a centre-midfielder, but he can play as a centre-back as well. All it is with Declan is that he needs games at the highest level.”
Asked whether he was worth £50m, Cole responded: “I’m going double that. In this day and age that is.
“He’s so valued by West Ham and an integral part of this West Ham outfit.
“If you start selling your best players then you’ll be in trouble.”
Chelsea are willing to include Callum Hudson-Odoi in any potential deal for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman
Regarded as one of the very best young wingers in the game, Hudson-Odoi has not been able to live upto the expectations that many have placed on his head, and has really struggled to make an impact under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.
That has led to reports in the media which have claimed that he is now ready to leave the club this transfer window, and seek a fresh challenge, and a club that will give him more game time and minutes
And according to L’Equipe we are willing to let him depart Stamford Bridge and join Bayern Munich, in hope that they can get Coman in return
The clubwould like to negotiate a player-plus-cash agreement that could allow Bayern to reinvest in another potential new signing in addition to landing long-term target Hudson-Odoi.
The Englishman is not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans at the Bridge for next season, and the head coach has long been an admirer of Coman, who Bayern are valuing at €90 million (£77m/$106m).
Coman is very happy at the German club and has constantly tried to play down all the speculation regarding his future and a possible future move, but with Covid hitting all the big clubs hard, there has been some suggestion that the German may be open to the idea of letting him leave.
Look, if the reports are true and we are actually interested in a transfer deal for Coman, he would be a very good signing for the club. But why not save a bit of money and give Odoi more of a chance?
He does have the talent to be a star at the club, he just needs more than 20 minutes here or thirty minutes there.
Chelsea striker Armando Broja has signed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
The 19-year-old was handed his first-team bow by former manager Frank Lampard in March 2020 against Everton in what proved to be the clubs final game before the Premier League campaign was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
He spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Vitesse in an attempt to build up his first-team experience, where he has impressed many at the club, and despite all the rumours that he could be sold on, the club have announced that he has agreed a new contract with the club
And after the announcement was made, Broja has taken to social media to announce just how delighted he is to have wrapped up another contract with the club: “I am really excited to be signing a new contract with Chelsea,” Broja told the club’s official website.
“Having come through the Academy here it was a special moment for me to make my first-team debut last year, before gaining further experience on loan at Vitesse last season.
“I want to build on these foundations and I am really looking forward to progressing and making an impact at Chelsea in the years to come.”
Broja is a talent that many fans have been waiting to see be given more of a chance in the first-team over the seasons, so now that Tuchel has got the club to hand him a new contract, maybe he will be given a chance
There are too many talents that are lost in the system of the club or just sold on, so again, many will be hoping that this deal means he will be given a chance this season
