Stopper sends message to fans after Chelsea decision confirmed

Gabriel Slonina has sent a heartfelt message to Barnsley after his loan move was terminated after just six months, as he made the return to CHELSEA this week.
After spending last season away at Belgian outfit KAS Eupen, Slonina was granted a first chance to play regular men’s football in England when Barnsley completed a temporary move in early August. The 20-year-old goalkeeper would only go on to play 14 times across all competitions, though, with 11 coming in League One
The decision was then made for hos loan spell to be cut short because of the lack of game time and injury, and The goalkeeper will instead return to Cobham, where decisions over his future will be made.
Slonina holds no grudges with his time at Barnsley, regardless, and issued a classy statement upon his exit. “Barnsley fans it comes to an end,” he started in a message shared on social media.
“It wasn’t the way I would’ve liked the first half of the season to go, but I thank you for welcoming me into the team and allowing me to be a little part of what I believe will be a successful season for you all. Thanks to the entire staff and squad of players for making me feel part of this club.
“Being in and out of the environment I know how hard everyone’s working behind the scenes to make sure performances are up to the expected standard.
‘I wish you all the best in the future, always will have a special part in my heart for YOU REDSS [burning heart emoji] And of course enjoy the big win this afternoon”.
