Chelsea news: pundit tells £47.5M star told to find new club

Ian Wright has opened up and encouraged CHELSEA winger Raheem Sterling to find a new club at the end of the season, as the Gunners dont want to keep hold.

Sterling joined the club from Man City in 2022 for a fee of £47.5million, with the England international tallying 31 direct goal contributions [19 goals, 12 assists] in 81 appearances for the Blues.

However – the decision was made in the summer transfer window that he would be allowed to leave us and make the loan move to Arsenal, who were interested in adding a bit more depth to that Gunners side.

But Sterling, 30, has failed to make much of an impact on the pitch since joining the Gunners in a temporary switch back in August and he has really struggled to get the game time he wants, now Wright has come out and told the winger that he needs to find a new club as both Arsenal and Chelsea dont want him: ‘Raheem is having a tough time,’ Gunners legend Wright said on his podcast.

‘I thought it might have turned for him after that little cameo against Man United, he looked sharp. That was the guy we want to see.

‘It’s not happened nowhere near enough, that’s fair to say. The way it looks, you get the impression that we’re not going to sign him long-term.

‘So what has he got to lose other than to get on it and blast it? I would love to see him go to that place. That would give the fans and show he’s trying, that’s what they want to see. When he joined, I thought it was a perfect move.’
