Star open to making Chelsea move – £80M star ready to make big move – Chelsea in talks over winger
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from icchelseanews that we think you guys may have missed today…
Emile Heskey has opened up and admitted that he believes Morgan Rodgers would be a good signing for Chelsea to make this summer, amid all the speculation the Blues are prepared to pay £80 million to get a transfer deal done
Villa have now been hit with an unconditional €11million fine for a breach of the organisation’s financial regulations, including €5m for failing to comply with the football earnings rules plus €6m for breaching the squad costs rules.
And that has led to alot of speculation in the media suggesting that a number of top clubs are lining up a number of moves for Villa’s top players, including Morgan, with reports in the Athletic website claiming that CHELSEA could make an offer for Rodgers.
However, while full of praise for the midfielder’s talent, Heskey urged both the club and the player to consider if the move would make sense given Chelsea’s plethora of options in attacking
‘I think he’s ready. But it’d be interesting to see Chelsea try to get him, because Villa don’t really need to be selling their prize assets,’ Heskey told BestBettingSites.co.uk.
‘But we keep coming back to PSR, and clubs will now always way up a good offer for their players, and selling Rogers might help them balance the books, and he’s one of their most valuable players.
‘I’m not sure where he’d fit in with Chelsea right now, though, even if Raheem Sterling and Noni Madueke go. He’s going to be behind Cole Palmer in the pecking order.’
CHELSEA IN JOAO FELIX TALKS
Speaking to Football Insider exclusively, finance expert Plumley outlined the importance of selling players this summer amid talk that CHELSEA are in talks to let Joao Felix make the permanent move to Benfica this summer
CHELSEA have brought in several players including Estevao from Palmeiras, Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund, and Joao Pedro from Brighton as part of a total outlay of over £200m.
The Blues have barely sold any players this transfer window, with Djorde Petrovic making up most of that £44 million they have made from sales after he left the club to join Bournemouth.
However – there are a number of players linked with a move a move away from the club this summer, and the Blues are actually in talks to sell Joao Felix, and now Plumley explained that whilst the club had banked a “huge amount of money”, several players would need to leave this summer due to UEFA’s regulations.
He said: “I think it comes down to sales ultimately, and we’ve seen a lot of reports that are suggesting the same thing.
“They’ve got to get players out of the door to make that equation work, not just because of the sheer size of the squad, but also where the registrations are for the Champions League and what they’ve got to do to comply with UEFA for any other sanctions that they might face. It has to be based on how the squad all ends up.
“If you look at the money side of it, and they have banked a huge amount of money, around £80m for getting to the final. It’s a few extra million to win it, which is great.
“The money’s still been good no matter what, but I think if you look at it in relation to the Champions League and the squad registration, it’s got to be about getting a couple of players out of the door, possibly even more than that.”
GARNACHO OPEN TO MOVE
Alejandro Garnacho would be open to making the move to CHELSEA this season, as he would like to stay in the Premier League and prove that he is good enough to play in the English top-flight
Noni Maduake had his breakout season at the club last campaign and put in some good performances, with those displays leading to England calling him up, where he also impressed in that National shirt.
However – he is one player that Chelsea have been keen to sell this summer after their summer spending spree, and now an agreement has now been struck, Fabrizio Romano reports, with the club accepting Arsenal’s offer which is in excess of £50million with add-ons included
Madueke has agreed to sign a five-year deal to become the sixth player to swap Stamford Bridge for the Emirates during Mikel Arteta’s reign in north London
And according to reports , Enzo Maresca still wants the club to bid for the 21-year-old and their rivals have been waiting for them to do so.
And reports on the TalkSport website have claimed that Garnacho would be open to the idea of joining Chelsea as he wants to stay in the Premier League to test himself, wither with the Blues or at Man United

Garnacho is a talented player that could be a world class player, but at the end of the day, he is not really a player that CHELSEA needs at this time, it would be a waste of £65M
