Star can join Chelsea for £80M – Blues decide get deal done for £50M star – Chelsea wants Prem star

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icchelseanews that we think you guys could have missed…
Aston Villa have reportedly slapped a new mammoth price tag on Jhon Duran amid impressive form with the side, with the likes of CHELSEA still interested in a possible deal for the striker.
Duran was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea for most of the summer and it seemed that the striker was very much open to the idea of leaving Villa for a switch to Stamford Bridge – but in the end and despite all the rumours – a move never happened.
TEAMtalk revealed that Aston Villa will take over £80 million for anyone to sign him either this winter or next summer, as they are keen on keeping the Colombian at Villa Park.
the striker may be open to making the move to Stamford Bridge according to reporter Iomie Stanley.
He said: ‘The young Colombian has been in scintillating form for Villa this season, showing flashes of his immense potential and drawing attention from top clubs around Europe. Having been linked with Chelsea in the past, Durán’s performances under Unai Emery may push the Blues to consider making a move this winter.
‘Despite heavy spending on attackers in recent windows, Chelsea continue to struggle in the final third. With Nicolas Jackson still finding his feet in the Premier League, Chelsea lack a proven goal scorer capable of leading the line consistently. This has forced the club to explore options for the January window, and Durán could be a perfect fit.
‘At just 20 years old, Durán has shown an impressive mix of strength, pace, and finishing ability, scoring important goals for Aston Villa this season. His physical attributes and direct style would suit Chelsea’s attack, providing them with a dynamic forward who can stretch defenses and pose an aerial threat.
‘For Jhon Durán, a move to Chelsea would represent a significant step in his career. While he is currently developing well under Emery at Villa, Chelsea’s stature and history of competing for top honors could be difficult to ignore. Additionally, Durán would have the chance to play a central role in a team looking to rebuild under Enzo Maresca, with Chelsea’s long-term project potentially appealing to the young striker.
‘With Durán continuing to impress at Villa Park, CHELSEA could see him as a solution to their ongoing striker issues. A January bid might be on the cards as the Blues look to boost their attacking options’.
BRANTHWAITE CLAIM MADE –
Sean Dyche admitted he is not surprised to see Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite continually linked with rival Premier League clubs, with reports that CHELSEA are still interested in a deal for the star.
Branthwaite emerged as a top target for for both United and Chelsea this summer after an impressive Premier League campaign which almost saw the centre-back make England’s final 26-man squad for Euro 2024.
And Dyche insisted that Branthwaite remains happy at the club but is not surprised that the likes of both clubs are still interested in a potential deal – he said: ‘I think I said in the summer that any player, it’s a worldwide market now, it’s not just about one player,’ he said at a press conference on Thursday.
‘The way the game changed, certainly in Europe, the transfer situation has opened up. It’s not a surprise good players are linked with other clubs. I said in the summer he’ll be staying here and he is so that’s good.’
Asked about how the pending takeover could affect the sale of Branthwaite, Dyche replied: ‘The club has a situation it is still looking upon. If new ownership goes through, that might change things financially but we don’t know that yet. We’ll just have to wait and see.
‘I didn’t really speak to him about it [interest from United in the summer], he’s still here. I’m not going to sit there and chat endlessly about stories in the paper which 99 per cent are not true so there’s no point.
‘He seems fine other than being injured, which has been a blow to him, he’s been fine.’
CHILWELL TO BE SOLD –
Ben Chilwell is no longer wanted or needed at CHELSEA, and reporter Iomie Stanley has come out and claimed that the Blues will look to get a deal done for the defender in the January transfer window.
Chilwell was heavily linked with a shock move away from the club in the summer, he was treated unfairly by boss Enzo Maresca after being told that he was no longe needed at the club – and it seems his time will be up at the club in January
Stanley said: ‘The 27-year-old left-back, once a key figure in Chelsea’s defense, may be deemed surplus to requirements under the potential leadership of boss Enzo Maresca.
‘Chilwell’s injury record hasn’t helped his cause, either. After a lengthy spell on the sidelines last season, the England international has struggled to recapture his best form. Maresca has opted for players better suited to his tactical vision, and that is why they have been so impressive during the opening weeks of the season.
‘Chelsea have shown a willingness to offload players for the right price as part of their squad overhaul under Todd Boehly. A sale of Chilwell in the January window could provide an opportunity for the club to recoup funds and reinvest in other areas of the squad.
‘Several Premier League clubs, as well as teams across Europe, could be interested in Chilwell, who remains a high-quality full-back when fully fit.
‘With Chilwell’s future at CHELSEA now uncertain, the January transfer window may be a pivotal moment in his career. it wouldn’t be surprising to see Chilwell leave Stamford Bridge in search of regular game time and a fresh start elsewhere.’
‘And there will be plenty of clubs that could be interested in a potential deal for the defender.’
