Spaniard all set to sign with Chelsea after personal terms and fee agreed

CHELSEA have agreed a deal worth up to £25m to sign Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

It is no secret that the club are worried about the goalkeeper situation, with Edouard Mendy now moved out of the club and Kepa a man that is too inconsistent to be the regular number one.

And that has led to reports in the media that Sanchez is a man that the club are very much interested in after a stunning season for Brentford. And recent reports on the Goal website have claimed that he is one player that Mauricio Pochettino has demanded to be signed.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

The 25-year-old fell out of favour at Brighton last season under Roberto De Zerbi, losing his place to Jason Steele, and is now considered surplus to requirements with the Seagulls having signed Bart Verbruggen.

Although he would not be assured of a starting role at Stamford Bridge, TalkSport are reporting that Sanchez has already agreed to join us and has given the move the green light.

WOULD SANCHEZ BE A GOOD SIGNING?

Sanchez could be a very good stopper and a player that would thrive at Stamford Bridge – and he would certainly keep Kepa on his toes for that number one spot.

There is plenty of time left in the transfer window for the board to get a few more transfer deals done and we are hoping that more experienced players make the move to the club.

Sanchez is not really a statement signing – but he would be a good signing.
