Cristopher Nkunku has opened up and told Mauricio Pochettino that he would like to be the main striker for CHELSEA .

After making the move to Stamford Bridge right at the beginning of the summer transfer window – Nkunku has been settling into life as a Blue and getting used to the way Pochettino likes to play the game.

Nkunku enjoyed his first outing in a Blues shirt and relished playing as the central striker during his 45 minutes on the pitch against Wrexham in Chapel Hill.

Nkunku looked lively throughout his maiden outing for the club , with his sharp movement on and off the ball getting many of the fans excited ahead of the upcoming season.

He combined well with his new team-mates, and he explained after the game that he is hoping to be the main striker for us- as that is the position he is most happy with.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

‘We scored five goals and didn’t concede so it’s good for our confidence,’ said Nkunku on the club website

‘For me I like to play this position, to be free to move and to have the ball into my feet and into space also. This is my position. I was very happy.

‘I’m a new player, I try to have a good relationship with everybody, and to know everybody also. This will be important for the following games.’

‘We have found it good. We just need adaptation and we are working in training for this. The next week will be very positive.

‘It is very hot – also good weather! – but very hot. But we know we came here for work and to improve in our pre-season.’
