Fabregas opens up on £100m man as Poch opens Chelsea door for Eriksen move

Cesc Fabregas hopes Eden Hazard signs a new deal with Chelsea, but admits he may end up at Real Madrid.

Many have speculated whether or not he will be staying or going and now Fabregas, who recently left for Monaco in January, has admitted that Hazard could actually sign the £300,000-a-week contract that has been placed on the table.

“Let’s see what he decides to do,” Fabregas told Radio Marca.

“He has a year and a half left and he is happy at Chelsea and so is his family. But in the end they are very personal decisions. He likes Madrid and he has always said it.

“Hopefully he will renew with Chelsea, but if he does not he will finish in Madrid.”

Meanwhile, Mauricio Pochettino says there has been no update regarding Chelsea target Christian Eriksen’s future at Tottenham.

There has been speculation that Eriksen, who has 18 months left on his deal, is attracting interest from boss Maurizio Sarri, who is a known fan of the Danish star and would like to complete a deal, especially with speculation Willian could be leaving.

And Sarri will have been boosted by the news that Eriksen has not signed a new contract at Spurs, and in fact there is no progress in the deal, meaning Eriksen could be open to a move away at the end of the season.

“No news,” said Pochettino today on the Sky Sports website.

“Everything is in the same place as months ago.”

Here is what we think.

Eriksen is one of the most creative players in the Premier League and if Spurs do not win anything at the end of the season, it may be time for him to leave as he wants to add some silverware to his cabinet.

However, we do not need him as he goes missing when he is needed most for Spurs.

And as for Hazard, well.
