£128 million statement! Chelsea told Bundesliga goal-machine Sancho is perfect for Premier Legaue

Jamie Carragher has told the likes of Chelsea that Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho would be perfect for the Premier League.

Sancho, who has 12 goals and 13 assists in just 18 Bundesliga appearances this season, is one of the most in-demand players across Europe and there were many reports in the January window suggesting that Chelsea were keen to make a move to sign the winger then.

However, Dortmund did not want to sell one of their most prized assets and it seemed that Sancho was keen to stay put until at least the summer, meaning that we went the whole January transfer window without making any meaningful transfer deals.

But with the likes of  Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich all credited with interest in the prodigious wide-man, Dortmund could demand in excess of £100million for Sancho in the summer, who became the first teenager ever to score 25 goals in Germany’s top flight recently.

And Carragher has claimed that the young man would be a perfect addition to the Premier League: “Sancho is one of the best young players at the moment in world football, especially when you look at his actual stats for Borussia Dortmund’, he told Sky Sports Football Weekend Preview Podcast.

‘He’s an English player who I think will be desperate to come back, so I think he’ll be the hottest thing everyone in the Premier League will be looking to bring in.

‘Will he be a hit? I think so. It’s a no-brainer, look at how well he has played in a top league with a top club under pressure.

‘He’s playing week in, week out, his numbers are fantastic and his age is just perfect.’
