‘Representatives are in “constant dialogue” about transfer as Chelsea fans to see summer move
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger’s representatives are in “constant dialogue” with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain about a possible transfer exit from Stamford Bridge at the end of the current season
Rudiger is one of the most important players in that squad and a man that Thomas Tuchel would like to keep at the club for the forseeable future, especially after his performances for the club this season.
Discussions between the centre-back’s representatives and the club had taken place in January but, as yet, no new, improved official offer has been tabled, despite the rumours that we are willing to make him the highest paid defender in the clubs history.
It is believed that Rudiger wants a contract offer closer to the £250,000-a-week mark over the next couple of seasons, but the club are not willing to go that high and are also not willing to hand him more than a year-contract offer
Sky Sports News has now been told there have been no talks with the board over a new deal for over a month, and the report claims the Germans representatives are in “constant dialogue” with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain about a possible transfer exit from Stamford Bridge
Rudiger is unlikely to make a decision on his future until the summer as he wants to weigh up his options and whether or not he is ready for the next chapter of his footballing career.
Rudiger is a world class defender that has been brilliant for the club for some time now, so to lose him for nothing in the summer will be a massive blow to the squad.
However, one player does not make the team and if he is not willing to compromise on the demands that he wants, then we will delve into that transfer kitty and bring in an adequate replacement.
There has been a few players linked, but if Rudiger does leave, >then the next likely arrival would be Kules Kounde from Sevilla
