Rudiger working on Havertz deal, Harder signs up, Mendy eyes move and Kante wants to stay in IcChelseanews roundup..

Pernille Harder has joined Chelsea Women on a three-year deal, and she is delighted with the move.

The 27-year-old forward was named 2018 UEFA Player of the Year and has signed for the west London club from Champions League runners-up Wolfsburg, where she spent the past three-and-a-half years at Wolfsburg and finished as the top scorer in the German top flight on two occasions.

Harder told the Chelsea website: “I’m extremely happy and extremely excited to get started, to finally be here and be a Chelsea player. I couldn’t be more happy.

“I’m excited to just play for such a big club, to play with so many amazing players and also to be playing in the league.

“The English league, it’s so exciting at the moment and I’m really looking forward to it.”

Coach Emma Hayes said: “Pernille is one of the best players in the world.

“Her record at Wolfsburg and Linkopings, as well as internationally with Denmark, shows how valuable she has been to her teams.

“She is a fantastic team player who wants to take her game to the next level. She chose Chelsea as the club that can push her to that level. She can play for any team in the world but she chose us.”

N’Golo Kante is not pushing for an exit from Chelsea and wants to be at the club despite interest from Antonio Conte’s Inter, reports have claimed.

We have been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks about all the players that are coming into the club, and Frank Lampard has put together a very exciting side for the start of the new season.

But there has also been some shock reports in the Media suggesting that Kante could be put up for sale this summer, with many reports in Italy suggesting that Inter Milan are keen to wrap up some sort of deal.

The World Cup winner is currently away on international duty with Olivier Giroud and is thought to be in good health after an injury-hit season last year, and despite all the transfer interest, reports on the GOAL website have claimed Kante is eager to stay at the club this summer.

Kante missed almost 50 per cent of his side’s matches last season, which became a cause for concern for Lampard, but he kept reiterating his desire to keep the midfielder throughout the season.

“He is an incredible player, I keep saying it and I mean it, he is huge for this club,” Lampard said at the end of June.

“He has been huge and he will be for a long time and I am happy with him.

“It is not just about N’Golo. I have got other midfield players and a lot of competition in midfield but at the moment, N’Golo is doing a really good job there.”

Edoaurd Mendy has now expressed an interest in making a summer transfer move to sign with Chelsea

We are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper this summer as Frank Lampard prepares to axe Kepa Arrizabalaga ahead of the new season after the Spaniard failed to impress the club legend with his performances last season.

Recent reports on TELEFOOT claimed we are seeking to continue their summer of spending by trying to bring Mendy to the club, with reports claiming that they have made a £14.3 million offer for the stopper, which was quickly rejected by his current club.

Then according to Goal France, an improved €20m offer has been submitted by the club and the French outfit are seriously considering the offer, as it pretty much matches what they are seeking for the talented ace.

Now According to TuttoMecartoWeb, Rennes will not sell without finding a replacement, although Mendy has expressed an interest in moving to Stamford Bridge and is hoping that the club accept the third offer that we make in the coming days.

Antonio Rudiger has admitted that he is trying to convince Kai Havertz to make the move to Chelsea

The Bayer Leverkusen attacker is on the brink of making his transfer to the club official and will join Germany teammates Rudiger and Timo Werner at Stamford Bridge when an official announcement is made in the coming days.

It is believed that the German has already agreed personal terms on a £190,000-a-week contract over the next five years with the club, and a fee in the region of £90 million has now been reached between both clubs.

Germany play Spain and Switzerland in the Nations League and ‘agent’ Rudiger explained he has been working on Havertz just like he did earlier in the summer when the Blues beat off competition from Liverpool for Werner.

“I did speak to [Werner]before because we have known each other for a long time,” Rudiger told chelseafc.com.

“We spoke a lot during the lockdown and he told me he was interested in coming to England. Of course then I did my bit, what I had to do.”

Look, adding Havertz to the side is something that we have been talking about alot over the last few months, but the announcement is surely just around the corner and fans can then welcome the signing that they want most.

He is a top-class player that has real quality and we cannot wait to see him make that move to the club, he would be more than welcome at the club.
