German Antonio Rudiger opens up and makes big Chelsea claim over Werner signing
Antonio Rudiger has admitted that he played a part in convincing Timo Werner to join Chelsea.
After months and months of transfer speculation, it has been revealed that the talented little German will be making that big money move to sign with us in the transfer window after agreeing a five year deal.
The transfer deal was only announced last weeks, but there has already been some excitement around his impending arrival to the English game, with many believing that he will help make us title contenders.
Now German team-mates Rudiger has opened up and announced that he had a hand in getting Werner to decide that we would be his next step.
He told the Blues official website: “I did speak to him before because we have known each other for a long time.
“We spoke a lot during the lockdown and he told me he was interested in coming to England. Of course then I did my bit, what I had to do.
“I would say he’s a quiet, humble guy, always ready to do better.
“I hope he adapts very quickly when he comes because as we all know this competition is different than others.”
Well dont Antonio and hopefully Werner will go on and become the player that many in the game are expecting, and hopefully his goals will help us get back in that hunt to win the Premier League.
