AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli has confirmed offers from the Premier League, with Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri eyeing up a potential transfer deal.

Despite spending over £100 million in the summer transfer window, Sarri failed to get all the business done that he intended too and only acquired the services of Kepa, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic and although those three players have been brilliant this season, there has been calls that Sarri needs to improve the back-line and strike-force to be serious Premier League title contenders.

And one target that we are keen on is Milan defender Romagnoli, who has been impressing at the Italian giants and is now regarded as one of the finest and most composed players in Seria A, and considered a perfect partner for Brazilian star David Luiz.

Now amid speculation that Sarri wants to delve into his transfer kitty to make a big January move, Romagnoli has admitted that there were offers to leave for the Premier League, but he is very happy at Milan right now.

He was quoted: ‘Inter-Milan is also a direct clash for the Champions League, but the greater responsibilities give me more motivation than pressure. I am proud of it. I want to play here for many years and win.

‘The renewal? A logical choice. I am fine with my teammates, with Gattuso, with the fans. There were offers from the Premier League, but I feel at home here. I debuted against Milan in Serie A. Maybe it was my destiny. I like Milano, I only miss the sea of Neptune, maybe I will hang a picture of it in my room.

‘Milan will win again. It is a solid club which will fight for the Champions League and go on in the Europea League. What has changed?

‘Firstly, the ownership was exposed to so many risks. Now there is the desire to invest. Maldini and Leonardo transmit serenity and know the world of Milan.’

Could we still complete a deal for Romagnoli, here are out thoughts.

Sarri has a number of transfer targets on his shopping list for the next few transfer windows, with Genoa ace Krzysztof Piatek, Napoli duo Kalidou Koulibaly and Piotr Zielinski just a few names mentioned, but Romagnoli would be a top class buy if we could convince him to make the switch to England.

And for the £50 million he is valued at, he represents a decent chunk of money.
