Thomas Tuchel is confident the sale of Chelsea will soon be completed – he has told frustrated fans
Chelsea have been in the headlines alot over the past few months ever since Roman Abramovic was forced to put the club up for sale – which has led to many people showing an interest.
But Tuchel revealed he has been informed of the decision to name Todd Boehly’s consortium as the preferred bid by Raine Group, the bank overseeing the club’s sale, and Now, Tuchel believes completion is close
The German said: “I’ve been told last week that we have a preferred bidder and things are going forward.
“It’s a pretty important week for the club, but I was fully focused on the pitch. But after what I heard last week, I’m confident.
“Clearance is always the best, because when the situation is clear you can take actions, make judgements, take actions.
“Otherwise you’re in a passive role, and this is what we are right now.
“We tried to make it the smallest issue possible, but of course it is always there.
“We prefer to have it in a clear and forward-thinking situation.
“This is what we’re hoping for, we know what we deal with, this is what the circumstances are in improving the team, and that we can act, rather than react, or even worse, do nothing.”
Chelsea’s day-to-day business has been restricted by the sanctions placed on Abramovich and new ownership should restore normality at Stamford Bridge.

This has been dragging on for quite some time now and is starting to effect the squad and the club
Declan Rice will leave West Ham for the likes of Chelsea during the summer window – fans have been told
Rice has developed into one of the very best midfielders in the Premier League and is a massive reason why the Hammers got so far in Europe and kept pace for that Champions League spot for next season
However, there has been so much speculation in the media about his long-term future at the club and whether or not he will be staying with West Ham – especially as he has dreams to play at the very top of the game
But after seeing the Hammers get knocked out of Europe this week, Stan Collymore has opened up and suggested that Rice will be leaving the club when the transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time
He told CaughtOffside: “West Ham, unfortunately, crashed out of the Europa League at the semi-final stage on Thursday evening after losing 3-1 on aggregate to Eintracht Frankfurt over two legs.
“Should the club fail to qualify for either of Europe’s two biggest competitions next season, I wonder what this could mean for their best players. Could the Hammers lose significant first-team players this summer?
“Well, Declan Rice is the obvious one. Manchester Unitedand Chelsea and I think even the Spanish giants have been talked about in the press, so the clear answer is yes.”

It all comes down to money and if we make the right transfer offer – Then the Hammers will be open to letting their star player leave
Ansu Fati is has told the likes of Chelsea that he has no desire to leave Barcelona.
A hot prospect that made his senior debut for Barca in August 2019, is another product of the famed La Masia academy system that is tipped to go on and become one of the best attackers in world football
Fati has made 54 appearances for Barcelona so far, with 18 goals recorded across those outings – despite the fact he has been plagued by injuries since bursting onto the scene at the Camp Nou
However, any hopes that Chelsea had of possibly signing the young man in the coming transfer windows has been shut down, after the talented lad sent a clear message to future chasers.
The talented teenager told PORTbible when asked if he has ever thought about taking on a new challenge: “No, honestly. Barca have given me everything. That is my club.
“My main ambition is to win titles with Barcelona. To achieve that for the club and the fans is my number one goal. If this means I also achieve personal records, then, amazing. I’ll work hard and stay dedicated. Hopefully, trophies and records will come after that.”
Fati also admits to using Lionel Messi as a source of inspiration, with former striker Didier Drogba another boyhood role model that he is now looking to emulate: “When I was in La Masia the first team was one of the strongest sides in our club’s history, so it made sense for us to use those players as a reference,” Fati said of following in illustrious footsteps.
“We followed and analysed everything they did, and all of the players in that side especially.
“I also followed Didier Drogba a lot when I was younger, he was incredible.
“But rather than looking at one player, in particular, I prefer to look at footballers more generally and enjoy all of the great players we’ve seen over the years. I always take inspiration from the best.”
