Chelsea have been told £100 million target will make summer move
Paul Merson has declared West Ham United star Declan Rice will not be at the club beyond the summer, with reports Chelsea are keen on a deal
Rice is a man that has been in the headlines alot over the course of the season, with his performances leading to alot of speculation in the media that he will be leaving the Hammers at the end of the season.
And the fact that the midfielder recently opened up and revealed that he wanted to play in the Champions League, has only spurred on speculation that United, or Chelsea, will make an offer when the transfer window opens up.
It has been claimed on many occasions that he will cost over £100 million, as the Hammers do not want to sell one of the clubs best players, but Merson has now opened up and claimed that he will not be at the club by the end of the transfer window.
Speaking to Sky Sports, He said: “He won’t be at West Ham next season… I will be shocked if he’s still there but £100m is a lot.”
Rice leads the charts for interceptions in the Premier League this season by some distance, is being lined up by the club to be the ideal man that could replace Ngolo Kante, who is being linked with a move to PSG
Rice is a man that <the Hammers fans do not want to see leave, but they will surely understand if he leaves for a club that is playing Champions League football and winning trophies on a regular basis
And honestly he would be a very good signing for the club should we actually make a move for the man
