Chelsea told £70 million target ‘will be considering’ summer move to the Bridge
Chelsea transfer target Declan Rice will be considering a move to Stamford Bridge this summer, claim Danny Mills.
Rice has been in the headlines for all the right reasons over the past 12 months and has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting young midfielders in the Premier League.
And amid the speculation that we are about to submit a £73 million offer, Mills believes he’ll be looking at his position at the London Stadium and considering his options now that we are interested, especially after seeing the club invest heavily over the transfer window.
Speaking to Football Insider, the former defender explained Rice’s situation at West Ham and urged him to make the move to west London.
“You’ll always be flattered,” he said.
“It’s always interesting especially when you look at the interesting players that Chelsea have pulled together over the window.
“Suddenly you’re thinking ‘I am currently going to be in a team that is a bottom half team that is fighting relegation perhaps as opposed to a team that is going to be in the Champions League and challenging.’”
Look, we are massive fans of Rice and firmly believe that he should be playing at a club that is much higher in the League than West Ham, who will probably be fighting relegation this season.
If we get him, he would be great, but considering we have world class midfielders at the club, he is not really needed unless Ngolo or Jorginho leave the club.
But we wouldnt say no to him signing…..
