Chelsea target Declan Rice admits winning trophies is “important” to him.

It is no secret that Rice is one of the most in-demand players in the Premier League and is being chased by all the Leagues biggest clubs after a stunning couple of seasons has turned him into a top-class holding midfielder.

And West Ham’s star man, 21, gave another hint over his thinking when he told the Sky Sports website: “As a footballer you only get one career and it goes by very quick.”

“You want to be successful for club and country. I think it’s an important thing to win trophies.

“There’s talk of Harry Kane at Spurs and what he should be doing, obviously he can do whatever he wants.

“He’s going to win trophies we all know that. I think that’s something I want to aim for as well.

“I’m only 21 but to get those highs of your career you need to win stuff and that’s what I want to do.”

If he moved back here, it could be the best time to make that move as the club are looking like a side that has the ability to win trophies on a yearly basis, Frank Lampard really has an exciting team on his books.

So adding another young player like this man would only improve us defensively, and the fact that we will challenge for trophies on a yearly basis means that he will have the chance to win alot over the course of his career.

He is too good to be at a club like West Ham
